RESPONSES TO CAE MABON Where I am hosting a women;s weekend 24th-26th October......
Cae Mabon has been described as ‘jaw-droppingly’ beautiful; a ‘fairy-tale village’; ‘a verdant retreat from the crazy world’; a place that shows that ‘dreams can come true.’
In 2008 Professor Tom Woolley declared Cae Mabon the ‘number one natural building project in the UK’. He said: ‘Cae Mabon is a Welsh Shangri-La hanging on a steep hillside with stunning views across to Snowdon… Built initially without planning permission, officialdom has been won over by its charm and magic.’
In December 2011 John Thackeray in his ‘Doors of Perception’ blog wrote: ‘Sites such as Cae Mabon are like the region's antibodies, playing a vital role in healing the crippling disconnection within Western culture between body, soul, spirit, and place.

Philip Car-Gomm, the Chief Druid of the Order of Bards, Ovates and Druids, says that Cae Mabon is the most druid-like place he knows anywhere in the world.

We’ve been full tilt with running the Peace Kitchen all week. Today was the day to move them to the trailer for more space. They have grown so much and today had their first bath and swim! Supervised of course!

Max 10 people.
We will be doing family ones and adults only ones.
We will also be starting food nights at ours occasionally with food from around the world, with a view over the Dee Valley. And a compost toilet that you can see 3 counties from - all made from reclaimed items from the land and Cefn history, using windows and doors from old quarry houses no longer here!

We did ALOT of clearance yesterday evening. We cut back the brambles and nettles. We have nettles elsewhere on the periphery of our (very)small holding and this area is for honeysuckle, jasmine, mint and lavender and other pollinator favourites.
Then we sat and enjoyed the last of the sunset.

We have worked very hard here and are soon launching Little Satsuma again. With a focus on making your own natural products, workshops, visiting holistic therapist and Jane will be offering hour 1-1 sessions for some of her new workshop themes.

She is a qualified teacher and holistic therapist of over 20 years. She has worked with many bereaved parents and people over the years too.

So she wants to help others find their path through challenging and emotional situations to come out the other side and thrive or at least find acceptance.
