Systems + processes = super-efficient productivity. Right?
I meet many business owners who are constantly designing systems and processes to make their businesses more efficient, productive, less time consuming etc. They may even be automating routine tasks among other things. Of course, this is great news for them and their teams.
Yet, they find themselves still constantly checking if things are done, manually overriding, or completely disregarding the systems and processes they put in place. It is easy to lose sight of the purpose behind the process and become disengaged with the people concerned.
When we set up processes and systems and fail to stick with them, it is important to understand why, especially before we create more processes and systems.
Getting lost in the fog of the systems and processes that were intended to help to the point of almost abandonment is a great starting point to getting back on track. It doesn’t always mean starting over either but could mean returning to the lean, smart approach to work you envisioned.
Do you have a process in place for your business?
Is the process aligned with your business goals?
How do you strike the balance between people and process?
How do you measure it?
How often is it reviewed?
If you are constantly designing office or admin-based processes and systems, ignoring them, or find they do not work for you, or your team? then get in touch. Alternatively, you can join me at my next Momentum Day 26th October 2022 to get planning, get organised, and get the work done
