Thank you to Headway Cardiff & South East Wales for such a wonderful afternoon yesterday at their annual Sparkling Afternoon Tea 🥂

It's become a staple in our festive calendar and yesterday was the biggest and best ever, with a packed out room in an amazing venue! Well done to the team on a fantastic fundraising event 💙

We were honoured to sponsor the entertainment for the day and boy did the Rock Choir ROCK! Followed by such beautiful tunes from the immensely talented harpist, Chloe.

We're already looking forward to next year! Always delighted to support the charity and be helping those affected by an acquired brain injury in some small way. A huge well done to CMC case manager, Stephen Wynne, who works hard as a member of the fundraising committee at Headway Cardiff to help bring these lovely events to fruition.

Today it's the turn of Sarah to feature for Trutees' Week, an OT many years for Cardiff's Brain Injury Team before bringing her experience and caring to Case Management Cymru. She's always on hand to advise us around relevant client issues. Such is her dedication that she's even roped in hubbie, Vince, to provide his experience in helping us with payroll!

Today, to mark Trustees' Week, we're featuring long-serving Trustee, Vicky, who contributes invaluable experience, initially as Acquired Brain Injury Specialist Nurse in Cardiff, then leading the Community Brain Injury Team, before establishing Case Management Cymru. Vicky's been with us for the journey and smoothed it with her sage, balanced approach.

One of our clients, Austin, has been working closely with the team at Surfability UK CIC for some time now and has become very proficient on the surf board! This was a personal goal for Austin, one which Case Manager, Stephen Wynne, has helped to make a reality.

Austin is pictured here celebrating his recent achievement; standing on the board and riding the waves, something which he has now done several times.

Surfability is Wales’ first adaptive and inclusive surf school and they are on a mission to make surfing accessible for everyone.

Posting on behalf of Headway Neuro Connect Bridgend ❤

If you are living with a brain injury or a neurological condition in the Bridgend area, you are invited to attend Headway Neuro Connect, a support group offering information, social activities and peer support. Family members are also welcome.
Headway Neuro Connect is run by volunteers and provide a safe and supportive environment for survivors to work on individual goals, share experiences and re-gain confidence necessary to take the next steps.
The friendly nature of Neuro Connect enables those attending to share experiences in a relaxed and welcoming environment within their own community. Activities are based on the needs of the individuals attending.
Everyone is involved in the development of the Neuro Connect.

We will be launching Headway Neuro Connect Bridgend on 22nd September 2025 from 2pm until 4pm at Nolton Hall, Merthyrmawr Road North, Bridgend, Mid Glamorgan, CF31 3NH

Over the weekend we were delighted to both attend and sponsor the Para-TRY-athlon event at Morello Clinic, raising funds for the Morello Marvels!

It was a really great event with adults and children participating in any way they could. Whether it was cycling, swimming, walking, running or eating cake - there truly was something for everyone to get involved with!

When we all get to participate, we all grow together. 🙌

Meet Rehabilitation Coach/Assistant Case Manager, Lloyd Davies!

He's just joined the team here at Case Management Cymru, but Lloyd is an experienced Rehabilitation Coach who has supported adults with both Mental Health diagnoses and Acquired Brain Injury, as part of the Cardiff and Vale Mental Health Physiotherapy Team and the Welsh Neuropsychiatry Service.
