Did you know that has been a huge rewilding project over the past two years?
A lot of what goes on behind the scenes goes unnoticed, but a few things to mention areโ€ฆ

๐ŸŒณ Allowing wildflowers to grow as nature intended and never ever using pesticides or chemicals (hello bees and other amazing insects ๐Ÿ)
๐ŸŒณ Clearing out the river to make way for the otters and wild fish (spotted several times by my mum who gets in there with her waders and keeps it all nice)
๐ŸŒณ Planting of over 1000 trees (in the shape of a giant tree! - single handedly planted and maintained by my dad)
๐ŸŒณ Completely decontaminating the grounds so it is free from plastics and other inorganic materials
๐ŸŒณ Creating a new lawn over what was very hard, stoney ground (and being very patient while it took a while to grow ๐Ÿ˜†)
๐ŸŒณ Feeding the birds when itโ€™s the right time - we have an abundance of bird species here ๐Ÿฆ…
๐ŸŒณ Allowing swallows to nest in the old Smithy building (second year and wonderful to see)
๐ŸŒณ Youโ€™ll also see mole hills and other signs of wildlife on the land, because we share the space ๐Ÿพ

Between all of this, we also want the areas to be nice and presentable for our guests, so they can enjoy the wildlife and some eco-therapy. After all, we are part of nature too! So when you arrive here, you will always feel that connection to our beautiful Mother Earth. We respect her, nourish her and enjoy her, always giving back more than we take ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ๐ŸŒŽ

Emotions are โ€˜energy-in-motionโ€™. Weโ€™ve been conditioned to suppress our feelings and emotions which keeps this energy trapped in the body. There are many ways to encourage the release of this energy. Each of us experience our emotions differently. Itโ€™s about finding our own path to feel and let go. Here are a few things that could help:

Movement (even better to work up a sweat)- physical movement is absolutely necessary for lymphatic flow, and this will also help your emotional energy flow. Be mindful with your movement and choose something you genuinely enjoy! Donโ€™t be afraid of sweating. Stress hormones are also released through sweat.

Resting - to truly let go, we need to rest our body and mind more often than you may think. This doesnโ€™t just mean sleep. We become tight and tense, with restricted breath if we donโ€™t practice active rest. Let go of everything and let your body enter the parasympathetic state (rest and repair). Even just 10 minutes a day can have profound effects. Start here and build it up.

Yoga - so many people have said โ€œyoga saved meโ€ or โ€œyoga is my medicineโ€. Combining breath practices with mindful movement helps to open up your energy channels which encourages the flow of subtle energy. The effects last long after a yoga session and consistent practice will give you the best results.

Massage therapy - this is a passive way to release โ€˜stuckโ€™ energy. You may or may not feel it releasing during a treatment but itโ€™s highly likely that an experienced Holistic Therapist will. A holistic massage treatment will leave you feeling lighter, calmer and freer in body and mind.

Journaling - expressive writing can release this energy as your voice (whether spoken or written) is a channel for self-expression. You could dedicate a bit of time each day to simply write bullet points on how you feel in that moment, or how you felt earlier in the day. Combine this with a mindful breathing practice and youโ€™ll get better results.

We all hold things in our bodies. Itโ€™s a matter of working with it and not against it to stay in flow with the nature of our miraculous existence ๐ŸŒณ
