Supporting small businesses and charities is very close to my heart.
If you know me you will know I try to support those around me in any way I can.

This year I have loved supporting , and doing her beautiful artwork in the birth centre to name a few.

Stress can impact on sleep even on a low level.
Some suggestions:
💬Think about all the overheard conversations and news about the danger factor of the storm. Children can understand the emotion but not the facts sometimes, so make sure to check with them.
🤦‍♀️Routine is out of the window- nowhere is open and it's not safe to go outside. Try and use your own house routine to ground the day. Make a set lunch time and divide the day into manageable chunks.
Stick to your usual bedtime routine and offer extra reassurance through hugs and 1 on 1 time.
💢At bedtime or naptime whitenoise is a gamechanger. It ensures those stormy creaks and noises are subdued making it less stressful at night and less chance of waking due to unpredictable noises.

💤Moving little one from a cot to a big bed? Hold on to the mattress-it could help with sleep.
1. Really helpful if you have a single bed and little one is unwell or needing extra support.
2. The old mattress can be a great tangible cue to show little one where you will be be and reduce seperation anxiety by building trust and safety.
3. Use the mattress as a toy bed so little one can read them stories and tuck them in. This is a really useful aspect of sleep support and is often under estimated.
