This morning we had the absolute pleasure of welcoming the wonderful PCymru team into our space, and what a truly special and insightful session it was.

They joined us to talk about neurodiversity in children, and from the moment they began, you could feel the room settle into a place of understanding, curiosity and compassion.

Conversations like these are so important especially for the families we support because they help us to see the world through a different lens. A lens that celebrates difference rather than questioning it.

The APCymru girls spoke so openly and honestly about what neurodiversity can look like in children, gently breaking down misconceptions and helping us to better understand behaviours, communication styles and emotional needs.

It wasn’t just informative it was empowering.

It reminded us that every child experiences the world in their own unique way, and that our role as parents, carers and professionals is not to change them, but to support them, understand them and meet them where they are.

There was such a warmth in the room throughout the session. Questions were welcomed, experiences were shared, and there was a real sense of connection something we always strive for at Mothers Matter.

It created a safe space for learning, reflection and growth, which is exactly what our community deserves.

For many of the parents in the room, this session offered reassurance. That feeling of ā€œit’s not just me,ā€ or ā€œnow I understand my child a little moreā€ is so powerful. And for us as a team, it strengthens our ability to continue offering compassionate, informed support to every family who walks through our doors.

We are so grateful to the APCymru team for giving their time, their knowledge and their kindness. It really was an absolute pleasure having them with us, and we hope this is just the beginning of many more conversations like this.

Because when we understand our children better, we support them better and that changes everything.

We’re really proud to share that our new Project Coordinator has had the pleasure of attending the VALOUR engagement sessions hosted at HMS Cambria.
It was a fantastic opportunity to connect with others, listen, learn and be part of important conversations around support, community and collaboration. Engagement sessions like these help strengthen partnerships and ensure that the voices and experiences of families and communities continue to shape the support available to them.
We are incredibly grateful to have been invited to be part of such an inspiring and welcoming environment, and we look forward to building on the connections made during the session. Working together with organisations and services across Wales helps us continue to grow the impact of Mothers Matter and reach more families who may need support.

We are proud to offer a collaborative partnership with .

Empowering Parents.
If you are at the beginning of your child’s neurodivergent journey, or your child is currently going through the diagnosis pathway, this session has been created especially for you. The early stages can feel confusing, overwhelming and at times very lonely. Many parents tell us they simply don’t know where to start or who to turn to.
This supportive session has been created by Karen and the Parent Support Team, people who truly understand the journey through their own lived experience. They will share practical knowledge, guidance and reassurance to help you better understand what lies ahead and how to navigate it with confidence.
Our aim is to help turn uncertainty into understanding and anxiety into action, while reminding you that you are not alone on this journey.

šŸ’ā€ā™€ļøSinging Mamas is a singing circle for women of all ages and life stages.

Ā

What to except from your Singing Mamas with Nia free taster. In all Singing Mamas group there are women, some are mothers, some are not, some have little ones with them, some have kids in school and other have grown up kids. Some are grandmothers. We welcome ALL women of all ages and life stages. Singers, non-singers, shy singers are all completely welcome.

Singing Mamas CIC is a UK based non-profit movement set up BY women, FOR women.

What we doĀ

Check in:

We pause for a moment to give everyone a chance to settle down, find your feet and reconnect with yourself. You will NEVER be asked individually to speak in front of the group. We may sing a familiar song, do some humming or just sit quietly. This helps the group get focused as a circle and lets little ones settle down too. You can join in as much or as little as you like. It’s all invitations.

Singing:

We sing in order to lift our spirits and connect with one another and there is no expectation that anyone should sound a certain way. You will NEVER be asked to sing on your own. Our voices blend as one so no one feels uncomfortable. We all learn the songs by ear so no music or word reading is required. Nia will sing a line of the song and everyone will echo it back. It doesn’t matter what your voice is like. All voices are welcome and valid and it’s all about enjoying it. No judgement here.

Kettle on and cake out!

For about half an hour after singing, you’re invited to stay for tea, coffee and cake. Let me know if you have any dietary requirements.

08/03/2026

International Women’s Day is a moment to pause and recognise the strength, resilience and compassion that women bring into the world every single day. It is a day to celebrate achievements, but also to remind ourselves of the power we hold when we stand beside one another.

Women supporting women is not just a slogan it is a lifeline. It is the hand held during difficult moments, the encouraging words when someone feels they are not enough, the quiet understanding between those who have walked similar paths. When women uplift each other, incredible things happen. Confidence grows, voices become louder, and communities become stronger.

At Mothers Matter, we see the power of women supporting women every single day. We see mothers walking through our doors feeling alone, overwhelmed, or unsure of themselves, and we see the transformation that happens when they are met with compassion, understanding and a community that truly listens. One conversation, one walk together, one moment of being heard can change everything.

No woman should feel she has to carry life’s challenges on her own. When we create spaces where women feel safe, valued and understood, we remind each other that we are never alone.

Today, on International Women’s Day, let’s celebrate every woman who lifts another woman up. Whether it is through friendship, kindness, advocacy, or simply listening these moments matter more than we realise.

Together we are stronger. Together we rise. šŸ’›
