Today we put our spy skills to the test with different challenges pushing both our mind and body to the limit 🧠💪

This morning we focus on our brains with spy decoding, word searches and had some friendly competition of battle of the units with some brain teasers

Then this afternoon we focused on our fitness and accuracy with Hit the 🎯 Trying to get a bullseye with throwing stars and axes! Finding lots of new ways to keep challenging ourselves going head to head, playing in teams, getting further back and so much more with everyone getting involved 👫

It was a day filled with laughs, friendship and some serious action 💪

Today at the Home Companion Club we enjoyed a lovely afternoon of bingo, a cuppa, and music.👀

We finished the day with our Feel Good Sing-Along, featuring music from all eras. 🕺💃

At half-time, a well-earned break saw our tuck shop cart in full swing, offering refreshing drinks and a few tasty treats to keep everyone going 🧃🍫

🌞 Sunny Afternoon Fun 🌞

This afternoon, we made the most of the beautiful sunshine! With suncream applied and sun hats on, everyone headed out into the garden for some well-deserved fun in the sun 😎🌼

We enjoyed a lively game of rounders, with teams made up of both residents and staff. It was wonderfully inclusive, with everyone getting involved, cheering each other on, and showing off their competitive spirit! ⚾👏

There was plenty of friendly rivalry, but even more laughter and smiles all around 😄💛 A perfect afternoon spent outdoors, making memories together in the sunshine 🌞

Moments of the Month – April 2026 ☀️🌷

What amazing weather we’ve enjoyed this month—it’s been the perfect excuse to make the most of our garden! From garden tidy-ups and outdoor games to karaoke in the sunshine and lovely link-ups with our friends from Benore, it’s been full of fresh air and fun.

We’ve also had some fantastic trips out, including visits to the beach, St Andrews, Anstruther for fish and chips, and Lochore Meadows.

It was great to be back for our first week of park golf at Dunnikier—everyone was delighted to return!

Our Easter Eggstravaganza was a huge success, with a special visit from the Easter Bunny. Staff and their children had a wonderful time playing games, designing their own eggs, and taking part in the egg hunt.

Our Casino Day was a huge hit! A big well done to Izzy for pulling off such an incredible event. Special mentions to our entertainment—Elvis and Tina—for their outstanding performances, and to our fantastic card dealer Ashley, who certainly knows how to shuffle a deck!

For those quieter moments, our relaxation spa and sensory sessions have been the perfect way to unwind and soothe the soul.

We also held our Rockstar Pot Competition, where the activities team and residents went head-to-head to create the best rockstar-themed plant pot. Taking home the bragging rights this time was our Wellbeing Coordinator, Nadina—well done!

Here’s to the summer sun and even more great activities to come in May 🌼

Today we took a trip down to St Andrews beach to enjoy the sun, sand and salty air🏖️🐚

One of Jane’s 2026 goals was to get out more specifically a day at the beach so we hired the amazing beach wheelchairs and got right down to the waves enjoying the atmosphere of being down by the coastline 🌊

Brenda reminisced on her childhood family holidays down to St Andrews with her dad and little sister and all the fun they had 👙

It was a wonderful day finished with a morning roll and ice cream at the cafe🍦

Today was all about self-care, confidence, and feeling fabulous! 💖

Our wonderful residents spent the morning focusing on feeling fresh, relaxed, and looking their very best. We were delighted to welcome the lovely Jen, who worked her magic with her fantastic hairdressing skills 💇‍♀️✨

While waiting to be pampered, everyone enjoyed a range of soothing treats including relaxing foot spa sessions 🦶💦, refreshing face masks 😌, and gentle hand massages 🤲💆‍♀️

It was a morning full of smiles, laughter, and well-deserved pampering , because everyone deserves to feel their best! 💕

🦸‍♂️✨ Superhero Creations ✨🦸‍♀️

This morning at Robert Allan House, we celebrated National Superhero Day in the most creative way by designing and making our very own superheroes! 🦸

There was lots of fun, laughter, and imagination flowing as everyone brought their unique ideas to life. From incredible powers to brilliant costumes, we saw some truly fantastic creations! 💥🌟

☀️ Fun in the Sun at Robert Allan House! ☀️

What a beautiful afternoon we had soaking up the sunshine and enjoying some fantastic outdoor fun! 🌼🌞

Our residents made the most of the warm weather with a variety of games, including giant Kerplunk, Connect 4, tennis, and snakes and ladders 🎲🎾. There was plenty of friendly competition, laughter, and smiles all around as everyone joined in the fun.

It was the perfect way to enjoy some fresh air, boost our vitamin D, and spend quality time together 🌿💛

Here’s to many more sunny afternoons filled with joy and laughter! 😄✨

🚶🏻‍♂️‍➡️☀️ Stroll For The Soul ☀️🏃🏻‍♀️‍➡️

Yesterday we enjoyed a wonderful walk from the care home down to the meedies 🌿

The weather was on our side, making it the perfect day to get out and about. Along the way, we stopped to admire the trees that Derek helped plant — a lovely reminder of the difference he’s made to the area.

When we reached the Meedies, we spent some time relaxing in the sunshine with our lunch, watching the water sports and taking in the peaceful surroundings. There was plenty to see, and it sparked lots of conversation and smiles.

We also fed the ducks, who were very friendly and came right up to us for a snack! 🦆

It was a great opportunity for everyone to enjoy some fresh air, gentle exercise, and good company — a truly uplifting afternoon.
