Funeral details concerning the late Christopher Wright:

WRIGHT

Suddenly, but peacefully after a short illness, with his loving family by his side, on Saturday 23rd May 2026, Christopher ‘Chris’ Wright, aged 71 years of Glenrothes, formerly Plymouth and South Africa.

Cherished husband of Marjory, loving dad to Bradley, Debbie, Taryn, loving stepdad to Anthony and Kerry, doting grandad to Lauchlan, Brodie, Brandon, Daniel, Tony and Louise, much loved brother of David, Carol, Tracey, Mel and Graham, dear uncle and a good friend to many more.

Funeral service will take place at Kirkcaldy Crematorium on Friday the 12th June at 3pm, to which all relatives and friends are respectfully invited; family flowers only please, however, donations if so desired can be made on leaving the crematorium in aid of Cancer Research UK.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the team at John Gilfillan Funeral Directors for their professional support and kindness during the loss of my mother, Audrey.

A special thank you to Angela for your exceptional care and attention; your guidance throughout this difficult time made a world of difference to me.

I would also like to thank Craig Adamson for the lovely, moving service and the heartfelt eulogy you delivered. You provided great comfort to both myself and Jacky, and we truly appreciate the care and dignity you showed in honoring my Mum.

Peacefully, on Monday 25th May 2026, at Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy, Kath Cooney aged 68 years of Cardenden.

Beloved and cherished mum of Stephen, Mark and Lyndsey, much loved gran to Ellie, Sienna, Rudi, Kory and Sonny and a very good friend to many more.

Kath will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Colin was a well known and much loved character in the deaf community and will be sadly missed.

Acknowledgment of thanks from the family of the late Jimmy Smith.

We would like to sincerely thank everyone for their kind donations and support. We received £300 from the collection, which will be donated to St John Ambulance to help contribute towards a defibrillator for the local area.

The generosity and kindness shown to our family during this difficult time has been greatly appreciated.

We would also like to express our sincere thanks for the care, compassion and professionalism you showed our family during the loss of our dad.

Your guidance and support through such a difficult time meant more to us than words can say, and we truly appreciated the kindness and dignity with which everything was handled.

"Helen, Shirley and Valerie would like to thank everyone for the lovely cards, messages, flowers and support we received coming the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandad, brother and friend.

We would also like to thank an the District and Palliative care nurses for all their support and kindness not only to Pete but to the whole family. The donations we received at the crematorium accounted too £327.

Ours thanks also to Bowhill Bowling Club for their hospitality after the service and to all those who paid there respects to Pete at the crematorium and Bowling Club.

Last but not least we would like to thank John,Paul,Angela and Kirsty for their professional care, support and touching service through this difficult time"
