Acknowledgement of thanks from the family of the late Lorna Elizabeth Kirk.

Paul and Stephen would like to thank all relatives, friends and neighbours, for the kind expressions of sympathy, cards and flowers, received after the recent sad passing of Lorna, a loved and cherished mother.

Grateful thanks to John, Angela, Paul, and Kirsty at John Gilfillan Funeral Directors for the support and compassion given throughout, thanks to John for his heartfelt and personal tribute it was very touching, you did Lorna proud, thanks to Gillytree Studios for the lovely floral tributes and the dressing of Lorna’s coffin, it was simply beautiful, Dean Saunders for his amazing piping lament during Lorna’s service, thanks to Dean Park Hotel for the excellent catering and hospitality you all went over and above, thanks so much.

Finally, a special thanks to everyone who came to Bowhill Cemetery to pay their final love and respect to Lorna, this was of great comfort to all the family.

Funeral details concerning the late Catherine Brady:

BRADY

Suddenly, but peacefully, with her loving family by her side, at Edinburgh Royal Infirmary, on Sunday 17th August 2025, Cathy Brady nee Geddes, aged 73 Years of Cowdenbeath.

Beloved wife of Henry, loving mum to Charles, Lyn and the late Elaine, dear mother-in-law to Emma and Jimmy, doting gran to Laura, Amy, Mathew, Michael, Keir, Craig and Megan, great- gran to Ivy, Esme, Leo, Mili and Gracie, much loved auntie, cousin and good friend to many.

Cathy will also be sorely missed by her furry babies, Freddie, Mabel, Rocket and Finn.

Funeral service will take place at Kirkcaldy Crematorium on Thursday 28th August at 1.30pm, to which all relatives and friends are respectfully invited; family flowers only please, however, on leaving the crematorium, donations if so desired can be made in aid of The British Heart Foundation.

Peacefully, in the presence of his loving family, at Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy, on Wednesday 13th August 2025, Andrew Hodge, aged 62 years of Lochore.

Much loved son of the late Margaret and the late Bobby, loving brother to Robert, John, Stuart and the late James, brother-in-law to Helen, a dear uncle, cousin and good friend to many more.

You will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved you Shabba.

Funeral service will take place at Kirkcaldy Crematorium, on Thursday 28th August at 10:15am, to which all relatives and friends are respectfully invited, family flowers only please.

Funeral details concerning the late David Smith:

SMITH

Peacefully, after a long illness, bravely borne, with his loving family by his side, at Queen Margaret Hospital, Dunfermline, on Wednesday 6th August 2025, David Smith aged 61 years of Glenrothes, formerly Lochgelly.

Cherished son of Dawser and the late May, loving dad to DJ, Liam, Molly, Harvey and Connor, much loved brother of Mandy, Joan, Joy, Paul and wee Paul, a dear uncle, cousin and good friend to many others.

Funeral service will take place at Kirkcaldy Crematorium, on Wednesday 27th August at 11am, to which all relatives and friends are respectfully invited; family flowers only please, however, donations if so desired, can be made on leaving the crematorium in aid of Ward 2, Queen Margaret Hospital, Dunfermline.

David's family have respectfully requested that those attending, if possible, to wear a touch of green in his memory.

Suddenly, but peacefully, at Canmore Lodge Nursing Home, Dunfermline, on Sunday 3rd August 2025, David Bowie Baxter aged 95 years of Dunfermline, formerly Cowdenbeath, passed on to the grand lodge above.

Beloved husband of the late Mary, loving dad to Alan and Keith, dear father-in-law to Mary and Adele, doting grandad to Ashley, Lucy and Elyse, much loved brother, uncle and good friend to many others.

Funeral service will take place on Thursday 21st August, at The Royal British Legion, Dunfermline, at 12:45pm, followed by interment at Dunfermline Cemetery at 1.30pm, to which all relatives and friends are respectfully invited.

Very sadly, at home on Friday 25th July 2025, Ian MacLeod, aged 56 years of Kinglassie, formerly Glasgow.

Beloved partner of Tia and loving dad to Lara, Ian was a very good friend to many more and will be sorely missed.

Funeral service will take place at Kirkcaldy Crematorium on Monday 18th August at 09.30am, to which all relatives and friends are respectfully invited, family flowers only please, however donations if so desired will be gratefully received on leaving the crematorium in aid of Andy's Man Club.
