Peacefully , at Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy, on Thursday 2nd April 2026, George Cappie, aged 91 years of Crosshill, formerly Lochgelly.

Beloved husband of the late Anne, loving dad to Carolanne.

Funeral service will be held privately, at the request of the family.

Carolanne would like to extend a heartfelt thankyou, to all the staff and Nurses at Ward 33, Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy, for the help and support given the last few weeks.

Peacefully, in the presence of her loving family at Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy, on Thursday 2nd April 2026, Ann Thomson nee Humphreys, aged 83 years of Glenrothes.

Beloved mum of Brian, Tracy, Andrew and Iain, doting nannie to Jade, Ritchie, Danny, Ewan, Jason, Ellie, Kieran, Marie, Jamie and Stuart, great nannie to Tora and Ivar, much loved sister, auntie, cousin and friend to many more.

You will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved you Ann.

Funeral service will take place at Kirkcaldy Crematorium, on Friday 17th April at 2.15pm, to which all relatives and friends are respectfully invited; family flowers only please, however, donations if so desired, can be made on leaving the crematorium in aid of SSPCA.

Beloved wife of the late John, loving mum to James, John, and Mark, dear mother-in-law, doting gran to Elaine, Laura, Adam, Nieve, Taylor and the late Michael, great gran to Mark, Cupar, River, Nova, Brodie, Jackson and Ayra, much loved sister of Margaret, Alice, Denis, John, the late Louie, the late Charlotte and the late Joe, loving auntie, cousin and friend to many more.

Funeral service will take place at Ballingry Cemetery, on Tuesday 14th April at 1.30pm, to which all relatives and friends are respectfully invited.

I would like to extend our deepest thanks to John Gilfillan Funeral Directors. A special thank you to Paul and Angela, the care and service my mum received was nothing short of amazing. They looked after her with such genuine love and dedication.

We also want to thank Craig Adamson he spoke of my mum with such warmth, and his comforting eulogy brought us so much peace.

Finally, thank you to everyone who came to celebrate my mum’s life with us. We are eternally grateful for your support.
The professionalism at John Gilfillan is truly beyond words.

Acknowledgment of thanks from the family of the late Alex Carswell.

We would like to say thank you to all at John Gilfillan Funeral Directors for all their care and support after the loss of Alex Carswell Senior.
They looked after him well and helped us through a very difficult time.
John gave a lovely service which must have been difficult as there were so many memories to share.
On the day all of the staff were professional and looked after us all very well.
It was very much appreciated.

Beloved wife of the late Jack, loving mum to Stuart and the late Iain, dear mother-in-law to Susan and Laura, much loved gran to Neve, loving sister, auntie, cousin and great friend to many more.

Funeral service will take place at Kirkcaldy Crematorium, on Friday 10th April at 1.30pm, to which all relatives and friends are respectfully invited; family flowers only please, however, donations if so desired, can be made on leaving the crematorium in aid of Fernlea House Care Home.

Thank You from Jim (Peam) Moore’s family

We would like to send a huge Thank You to Paul, Angela, Darren, Kirsty and John from John Gilfillan Funeral Directors, who helped us through a very difficult time. Your respect, professionalism and guidance was very much appreciated. Nothing was too much trouble and the care given to Dad and the family was amazing and appreciated.

Also to Aileen Massie, Humanist Celebrant, for an uplifting service at Kirkcaldy Crematorium which focused on Dad’s life in words she put together with compassion and attention to detail and delivered magnificently.

Thanks to all who sent cards, flowers, those who came to see Dad off on his final journey from Jubilee Grove and to all relatives and friends who supported us by attending his service to say goodbye. The collection on the day for Jubilee Grove Sheltered Housing Residents raised an amazing £250.
