‘HONESTY’: YOUR 7-STEP SELF-CARE FORMULA

30/08/2025
28/08/2025

Every single day, life gives us the opportunity to grow, to become better, and to move closer to peace and fulfillment. But for that, we must balance ourselves in three key areas – physical, mental, and spiritual. Here’s how:

1. A Physical Win 💪
Your body is the temple of your mind and spirit. Taking care of it is not a luxury, it’s a responsibility. A physical win doesn’t mean extreme workouts or pushing yourself to exhaustion — it simply means moving your body in a way that keeps it alive, strong, and vibrant.

Walking: Clears the mind and refreshes the soul.

Running: Builds resilience and stamina.

Lifting: Strengthens not just muscles but also discipline.

Swimming: A reminder of flow and lightness in life.

When your body feels good, your mind and spirit naturally align.

2. A Mental Win 🧠
The mind is like a garden — if you don’t plant positive seeds, weeds will grow. A daily mental win keeps your mind sharp, creative, and free from negativity.

Reading: Expands your vision and opens your mind to new worlds.

Writing: Helps release emotions, clarify thoughts, and strengthen expression.

Creating: Whether it’s art, ideas, or solutions, creativity brings joy and purpose.

Learning: Every new skill or insight is a step closer to becoming your best self.

Feed your mind with wisdom, not with worry.

3. A Spiritual Win 🕊️
True peace comes when you connect with your inner self and something greater than you. A spiritual win nurtures your soul and keeps you rooted in stillness even when life feels chaotic.

Meditating: Brings awareness, calm, and presence.

Studying: Learning sacred wisdom or philosophy helps guide your path.

Growing: Letting go of old patterns and evolving into who you are meant to be.

This is where you find the balance between effort and surrender.

🌿 When you achieve these three daily wins, you don’t just survive the day — you thrive. You align your body, mind, and soul into harmony.

👉 Remember: Life isn’t about doing one big thing once, it’s about the small consistent wins every single day.

✨ Be a complete winner — Physically, Mentally, and Spiritually. ✨

It’s that time of year again

Time to give a HUGE SHOUTOUT…….

…. To my fabulous team of school counsellors & volunteer counsellors at Freeflow - Free Counselling/Mental Health Service - all 24 of
You precious beings 💚

AND......

To all the counsellors, psychotherapists & mental health workers, trainees, professionals & volunteers, who continue to suppprt & hold their clients:...

Please remember we have done & continue to do a fantastic, INVALUABLE job.

We’ve continued to work with clients who continue to be scared, confused, UNCERTAIN about life in general.

Clients who are depressed, anxious bereft, isolated, suicidal, struggling, frustrated…..

But our role has & continues to be holding the ANXIETIES of our clients, and our wider communities.

To be something solid and substantial when it feels, to others and ourselves, like everything is FALLING apart.

It's a HUGE demand.

A lot of anxiety and FEAR to hold.

We continue to dig deep & call on all our STRENGTHS and abilities to contribute to the wellbeing and security of our clients .

Counsellors and psychotherapists truly are the EMOTIONAL BACKBONE of our nation

Often UNRECOGNISED ; but there to support, strengthen &
soothe.

I SEE YOU
AND
I THANK YOU,
EACH AND
EVERY ONE OF YOU 💚🙏

Ladies & gents take a bow 💚
