We are currently looking for Care Assistants to to join our existing staff team. If you have a genuine interest in supporting older adults to enjoy every day and get the most out of life then please get in touch. As well as assisting with activities of daily living, personal care, nutrition and maintaining and monitoring health needs, your responsibilities will also include providing companionship and making memories. You will do whatever it takes to help our residents to get the most out of life. More than just a carer, you will be a true friend who champions their dignity and maximises their independence, and you will also have an important part to play in the development of care plans.
You will be closely involved in the general activities of the home and have a responsibility for maintaining a safe and secure environment for residents, staff members and visitors. Your daily routine will be as varied as the needs of the people you are supporting. Experience is not essential for this position; however, applicants must have an interest in working with older people and a willingness to undertake training that will enable you to meet the requirements for SSSC registration, and facilitate continued professional development. You must be able to communicate effectively at all levels and be comfortable working as part of a team. To succeed, you should be capable of prioritising your own workload, maintaining detailed records and using your initiative to the full.
