I love this post. So true. We just need to be responsible for our bodies, how they function and feel and then be consistent in making changes to improve it. Nobody else has control of your body but you. Make sure you look after it.

Just this 💤. Make rest a key priority this year, especially if you’re in your perimenopause years (35+).

A little one tonight for anyone whose brain is struggling to switch off. It’s okay to need a little more time to recharge. It doesn’t mean you’re behind, lazy, starting the year on the wrong foot. It just means you need a little more time to rest. Ramble ramble from me but hope it can help anyone feeling the same xx

I love this list. Definitely something I’m going to introduce this year.

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL! These are my 11 small things (that are completely free to do!!) that can have a transformative impact on the quality of our lives when done regularly.

1. Prioritise meaningful relationships
2. Have some phone-free time every day
3. Go for a walk every lunchtime
4. Stop taking things personally
5. Judge yourself and others less
6. Acknowledge one thing you are grateful for each day
7. Listen to an uplifting podcast each week (Feel Better, Live More is pretty good if you haven’t listened before😉)
8. Complain less
9. Learn to say no to what doesn't serve you
10. Be kind…..always!
11. Stop blaming others for your own internal responses

What would add to the list?! At this time of year, many of us turn our attention to our health and wellbeing. I'm passionate that improving our health and happiness is not as hard as we think it is. Nor does it have to cost a lot of money!

You can feel like you’re rubbing “bone on bone”, but 9 times out of 10 the problem (and solution) is muscular & movement based.

Mills & Bloom: The beginning

Hi there, I’m Ali, Norfolk born and bred, mum of two and lover of health, fitness and food! My love for massage started in 2007 when I trained in holistic massage at the Alison Rostron Treatment Centre, Norwich. My love for sport and health and well-being spurred me on to do more and I went on to train in sports therapy, remedial and therapeutic massage, aromatherapy and Indian head massage. I tailor every treatment to the individual, whether that’s to relieve pain, speed up recovery from injury or promote relaxation and improved well-being.

As well as massage therapy I offer infant massage to parents and caregivers. The power of touch gives such a wonderful bonding experience and can help new parents communicate and soothe their babies in those early years and beyond. Please ask if you’d like to know more.

I’ve also incorporated my love of natural skincare into my business and can offer at home 1:1 pampers and virtual consultation on the benefits of using the amazing Tropic Skincare range.
