Hello! 👋 I’m Tash and I’ve been teaching Pilates for around 10 years but first discovered it 23 years ago (you can do the math 😅) in preparation for joining a professional dance school. I’m originally from the beautiful island of Jersey 🌊🇯🇪🐄
I’m classically trained by on their Advanced Comprehensive course. At 950 hours this took me almost 2 years to complete. The course is rigorous, you not only learn the entire body of work and put your own body through every single exercise with no stone left unturned but you are also shown the art and skill of teaching - and for me this is what sets TPC’s teacher training apart from the rest.
Since then I’ve worked in a variety of settings from group fitness to sports injury and rehab. But by far the place I see real growth and progression is in 1:1 sessions teaching traditional Pilates, always adapted and tailored to the body in front of me. It’s a space where a magical conversation can happen between teacher and student, and when the participant is open and willing we embark on a journey together sometimes lasting many years!
I’ve come to understand that the learning never really stops and so I place myself as the eternal student in the care of teachers that have the wisdom and experience that keeps me on my toes. For me that comes in the form of the incredible who I am lucky enough to be mentored by and who guides me through the ever evolving landscape of Pilates with an emphasis on anatomy and movement science.
I count myself lucky to have a job I really love and I hope to share that passion with every person who walks through my door.
I recently opened the doors to my own studio at 450 Kingsland Road in Dalston, East London. The studio is equipped with all the good stuff and of the highest quality (thank you 🙏).
So whether you’re a curious beginner, recovering from an injury or a seasoned professional I’m here and hope to be able to share a little bit of Pilates magic with you ✨
