Wahala promax😢😢

I almost made this same mistake as a student nurse. But thankfully my mentor was able to discover that I had made a mistake and corrected me just in time.

Why Do People Snore? 💤 | Let’s Talk About It

Snoring happens when the flow of air through the mouth and nose is partially blocked while we sleep. This blockage makes the tissues in the throat vibrate, creating that familiar (and sometimes annoying!) sound.

What causes it?
• Nasal congestion (from allergies or a cold)
• Sleeping on your back, which lets the tongue fall backward
• Obesity, which can narrow the airway
• Alcohol or sedatives, which relax throat muscles too much
• Anatomical factors, like enlarged tonsils or a deviated septum

While occasional snoring is common and usually harmless, loud and chronic snoring can sometimes signal sleep apnea — a condition where breathing stops and starts during sleep, which should be checked by a doctor.

Simple tips that can help:
✅ Sleep on your side
✅ Maintain a healthy weight
✅ Limit alcohol before bed
✅ Treat nasal congestion

Fun fact: Not only adults snore — children can snore too, often due to enlarged adenoids or tonsils!
