We’re delighted to be attending this important event alongside our colleagues at the Gambling Lived Experience Network (GLEN) - shining a light on the vital role of Lived Experience in tackling gambling harms as a public health issue.

A huge part of our work at Betknowmore UK is raising awareness, providing training, and helping to educate and destigmatise gambling harms within our communities.

We’re proud to stand with others driving real change -including Clarke Carlisle, who’ll be among the speakers sharing his lived experience and insight.

Natasha is passionate about giving a voice to those impacted by gambling harms. With her ability to articulate lived experiences, she’s determined to put individuals in recovery and those on their recovery journey at the forefront - shining a light on their trauma and the incredible work we continue to do at BKM to support our service users. 💜
Drawn to BKM’s “small but mighty” spirit, Natasha was inspired by our passion and drive to collaborate and create change. She’s already leading vital conversations in our New Beginnings podcast, which explores women and gambling harms.
We’re so proud to have her as a powerful spokesperson for change.

Yesterday, Fe, our Armed Forces Service Manager, attended the 4th Royal Air Force Mental Health Symposium at RAF Cranwell alongside Pete Buckley.

Fe hosted a stall and connected with over 120 Mental and Physical Health Champions from across the
RAF and Civil Service.
It was a brilliant opportunity to raise awareness about gambling harms and promote the support we offer.

Thank you to Alex Ballinger MP for hosting alongside Betknowmore UK at yesterday’s Battling the Odds event at the Houses of Parliament.

We were proud to have Fe from our Armed Forces Service share a powerful speech, and it was a pleasure to spend time with so many brilliant organisations from across the Armed Forces Gambling Support Network - including , , , NHS veterans services and more.
A day of meaningful conversations, shared goals, and genuine collaboration to better support veterans experiencing gambling harms.

What an incredible effort from Woody, Laura, and Ben!
Through wild weather and stormy waters, they gave it everything! With Woody & Laura just 300 metres from the finish line before the swim was called off for safety reasons.
But this was never just a swim. It was an ongoing tribute to Ollie Long our much-loved colleague and Woody’s brother. A powerful act of love, resilience, and unity.

We’re proud to share that the family has raised an amazing £6,355 to support those affected by gambling harms.

As part of Volunteers’ Week, we’re celebrating the incredible people who give their time, passion, and commitment to support others.
This week, we’re highlighting Martin, who volunteers with BKM’s Peer Aid service - offering vital support to individuals experiencing gambling harms.
At BKM, we understand the value of volunteering, many of our team members give their time to various organisations, and we’re proud to work alongside people who share that dedication.

Celebrating 3 Years of the New Beginnings service 🌻👍🏾

It’s been an incredible three years of the New Beginnings team supporting women experiencing gambling harms. These women, with lived experience, have gone on to complete training in areas like counselling and mental health first aid to offer the best support possible.
So far, New Beginnings has run 29 cohorts, with the 30th starting soon. Over 100 women have been supported on their recovery journey some of whom you’ll see in our photos.

More than a service, New Beginnings is a genuine support group for women seeking connection, healing and a life free from gambling harms.

This work also inspired the New Beginnings podcast, a powerful resource that features conversations with past service users and other women with lived experience. It is a safe and convenient way for others to access information anytime, anywhere.

BKM is proud to celebrate this milestone. Congratulations to all involved, here’s to many more years of growth, impact and helping countless more women.
