Isobel Gardner Psychology Ltd.

Isobel Gardner Psychology Ltd. Licensed Clinical and Counselling Psychologist offering Transformative Psychotherapy, EMDR and Couples therapy in Harley Street District & Little Venice.

I'm a psychotherapist with an international perspective. I've lived and worked in the US, UK, and Sweden and I am fluent in both English and Swedish. Before obtaining my MA in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University, Los Angeles, I pursued my passion for the entertainment industry. I earned my MFA in Entertainment Business (The Producer's Program) from UCLA and embarked on a 20-year career in

Los Angeles, London, and Stockholm as a writer/consultant/Producer). Alongside my professional endeavors, I also raised three wonderful children. These diverse experiences have shaped my understanding of the complexities and demands faced by individuals in both the entertainment industry and the realm of parenthood. Today, as a licensed psychotherapist, I draw upon this rich background to provide comprehensive support and guidance to my clients. In addition to my extensive clinical education and training in psychology, I have pursued additional certifications and specialized training to enhance my therapeutic approach. I am a certified mindfulness coach/facilitator (IMTA), equipped with the tools to integrate mindfulness practices into therapy. Additionally, I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), a highly effective therapeutic technique for addressing trauma, anxiety and a broad range of issues. As a committed professional, I maintain active membership with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and hold a license as a psychotherapist in the State of California (LMFT). Acquiring this license involved completing 3000 supervised hours and comprehensive training in a wide range of mental health concerns. Notably, I have gained valuable experience working with dual diagnoses at both residential and non-residential rehabs in Los Angeles and Malibu. To further expand my therapeutic expertise, I underwent training in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy at the prestigious Maple Center Clinic in Beverly Hills. This specialised training has provided me with a deep understanding of the complexities of the human mind and how early experiences shape our emotional well-being. By combining my clinical education, certifications, diverse training experiences, I bring a comprehensive and integrative approach to therapy, tailored to address the unique needs of each client. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive, and transformative therapeutic journey for individuals seeking personal growth and healing.. I'm passionate about helping people live their best lives. I believe that everyone has the potential to heal and thrive, and I'm committed to providing my clients with the tools and support they need to reach their full potential. I'm always looking for new ways to learn and grow, and I'm excited to share my knowledge and experience with others. If you're looking for a therapist who can help you on your journey to healing and growth, I'd be honoured to work with you.

If you are a Gen Z or know one, please forward this blog, as I wrote it as a guide for the Gen Z generation to give them hope in navigating today's reality.

As a member of Generation Z, you might feel a profound sense of disconnection from the world your parents or even older siblings experienced when they were your age. When they moved out in their early twenties, they often encountered a different landscape — one with far lower living costs, readily...

This past year, I had the privilege of training as a dream guide at the Dream Institute in London (CPEE). I just completed the basic training and am now a certified Dream Guide. I have always been fascinated by my dreams and grew up remembering them since my mother, a Psychiatrist in Stockholm, Sweden, always asked me about my dreams growing up, which helped me remember them. Everyone dreams (even if you don't remember them), which is the brain's way of healing stress, and we call it Rem-sleep. With sufficient Rem-sleep, we feel refreshed after a night's sleep. Dreams are complex, and understanding their meaning can hugely benefit the journey of understanding ourselves. This blog is about Dreams and how to unlock their secrets.

How a Certified Dream Guide Can Help You Navigate Your Inner Landscape Dreams have long fascinated humanity, serving as a mysterious portal into our unconscious mind. As a certified dream guide, I am here to help you navigate this intricate realm, transforming your dreams into powerful tools for

I recently lost my 17-year-old Shiba Inu, a central figure in my family for almost 2 decades. The shock and the grief have been really intense for my children and myself. It's hard to imagine a life without her by our side. At the same time, it has given us a new appreciation for the unconditional love a dog can provide us like no one else and a gratitude for having had this extraordinary friendship in our lives. This blog is about Miko and grieving a beloved dog.

Honoring the Memory of My Beloved Shiba Inu, Miko The loss of a pet is a deep and personal journey, one that brings forth emotions we often struggle to articulate. Recently, I faced this heart-wrenching reality when my beloved Shiba Inu, Miko, passed away. We were not given much warning at all be

It can be hard to recognize when drinking has become a problem, particularly since it's so socially acceptable and even encouraged to relax with a drink at the local pub/bar after work.

Read my latest blog and learn how to reset your perhaps not-so-healthy summer habits.

As summer winds down and fall settles in, many experience what’s often called the “summer blues.” The carefree days filled with beach trips, barbecues, and late-night parties leave us feeling disoriented as life’s pace suddenly shifts. For those who may have indulged freely in drinking and p...
