I’m thrilled to be volunteering as a cancer massage therapist at the Macmillan Cancer Centre at UCH, just off Tottenham Court Road in North London. It’s an inspiring place, with compassionate, dedicated staff supporting patients through some of the most challenging moments of their lives - I feel truly grateful to have the opportunity to support them.

Tok Sen is a traditional Thai therapy that uses rhythmic tapping to stimulate the body’s energy lines, known as ‘sen.’ The technique involves using a small wooden mallet and a chisel-like tool, typically carved from tamarind wood, which are gently tapped along the muscles and fascia. This creates a vibrational effect which helps release deep-seated tension, improves circulation, and restores the natural flow of energy throughout the body.
