Move on and thrive after trauma & toxic relationships
If you are troubled by self sabotage or haunted by a past traumas, or constantly exhausted, anxious and plagued by aches and pains an integrative (or combined) approach may be the solution you are looking for.
Just as our physical body requires regular maintenance our emotional health also requires specific care to free ourselves from negative or limiting thoughts from the past, access our joy and creativity and thrive.
Trauma can be anything that overwhelms us. Integrative therapy using grounding techniques, embodiment, TRE (Trauma Release Exercises) and Energy Psychology techniques are the most exciting and dramatic breakthroughs in therapy and personal development for years and, although unconventional in form, they commonly work where nothing else has.
I my practice I combine these methods with traditional psychology and other talk therapy skills to empower clients to move on and let go of the past.
Energy Psychology
Energy Psychology is a gentle and versatile therapy process which borrows from the Chinese meridian system and muscle testing (most commonly used in Kinesiology).
In essence, it is a psychological version of acupuncture - without the the use of needles - which tunes into the body’s unconscious messages and subtle energy systems.
EP forms a connection between talk therapies and touch therapies and marries ancient insights into the way energy in the body is organised with a quantum understanding of consciousness.
We can use EP for self help, therefore empowering clients out of the therapy session to care for themselves.
TRE Trauma Release Exercises
TRE is an innovative series of exercises that assist the body in releasing deep muscular patterns of stress, tension and trauma. When the body is grounded, TRE safely activates a natural reflex mechanism of shaking or vibrating that releases muscular tension, calming down the nervous system.
While it is unusual to many (especially to our over stressed, mind based, western society) when this muscular body mechanism is activated in a safe, grounded and controlled environment, the whole system is encouraged to return back to a state of balance with our mind and body coming together to work in harmony.
Most clients report feelings of deep and profound release never previously experienced, less chronic aches and pains, better sleep patterns, feelings of empowerment and lowered stress levels as the body unwinds in this very natural and innate manner.
TRE is about letting the body’s intelligence lead you to gentle and profound self healing. Like EP it is something clients can take away and use themselves.
