Longevity isn’t something you wait for.
It’s something you practice. Every day. Every choice.

My birthday “play-treat” wasn’t just fun – it was a living lab for what I stand for:
→ Movement that energises, not depletes
→ Blood sugar balanced through nourishment, not restriction
→ Breathwork that reprogrammes stress
→ Connection that floods you with oxytocin
→ Stillness that restores your nervous system

Longevity is emotional.
It’s relational.
It’s metabolic.
And when they align – your body knows.

🔬 HRV rises
🧘🏽‍♀️ Cortisol drops
💗 Inflammation calms
✨ Vitality returns

What I felt wasn’t just joy — it was coherence.
Everything syncing: mind, mood, meaning.

This is real longevity in motion.
Not a supplement. Not a spa day. A full-spectrum repatterning of how we live, feel, and connect.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month
and as someone who’s journeyed through burnout, long COVID and a tangled web of post-viral fatigue, I know just how much our mental health is tethered to our biology.

One surprising ally in my recovery? Infrared sauna therapy.

During the COVID pandemic, when my nervous system was frayed and my energy flatlined, regular sessions in an infrared sauna became a lifeline. Not just for detoxification or muscle repair – but for soothing the overwhelm. A place I could breathe again.

Here’s why it works:
Infrared (particularly near-infrared and red light) stimulates photobiomodulation – a process where specific wavelengths of light pe*****te tissue to enhance mitochondrial function, reduce oxidative stress and modulate inflammation. Think of it as charging your cellular batteries.

In the brain, PBM has been shown to increase BDNF (brain-derived neurotrophic factor), support serotonin pathways and calm microglial overactivation – a key player in neuroinflammation and mood disorders.

For me, it wasn’t just the warmth. It was the reset.
A space to regulate. To sit with myself in stillness, letting the light do its quiet work.

Mental health isn’t only about mindset.
It’s about nervous system hygiene, inflammation, mitochondrial resilience – and sometimes, sweating it out in a red-lit box with a towel on your head.

This Mental Health Awareness Month, I invite you to consider not just the mind but the milieu in which it lives.

And if you’ve tried everything else – try light.

One of my favourites? Infrared sauna sessions with .uk

I grew up in Devon—
a landscape that shaped me: fields, hedgerows, salt air, animals and the quiet presence of wild things.
Nature was always there.
It wasn’t a lifestyle—it was life.
In the context of early family trauma, it offered something vital: regulation, grounding, protection.

Born by C-section—something we now understand can impact early immune and microbiome development—
I was lucky to be immersed in soil, animals and fresh air daily.
Those exposures may have helped buffer some of the early biological imprinting.

Today, the science supports this intuition:
• Soil microbes = enhanced immune tolerance and mood regulation
• Grounding = reduced inflammation, improved sleep, balanced stress response
• Natural water + sunlight = circadian and mitochondrial support

But nature doesn’t just support us—we have a responsibility to protect her too.

On this , let’s remember that small shifts matter:
• Walk or cycle when you can—movement for you, less CO₂ for the planet
• Be mindful with flights—especially short-haul
• Recycle thoughtfully—but focus more on reducing and reusing
• Choose lower-impact brands—refillable, biodegradable, organics
• Grow something—anything—and reconnect with the soil

Our biology is entangled with the biosphere.
We heal in tandem with the Earth.
Always have. Always will.

Today take one conscious act for your health and for hers.
💚

Easter invites rebirth.
Not perfection.
Not performance.
But the quiet courage to hope again.

To believe in your capacity to shift —
Not through punishment or pressure,
But through presence, compassion and care.

So many of us have learnt to self-soothe in ways that now leave us empty:
Sugar, wine, endless scrolling, over-working.
These aren’t failures — they’re strategies.
But they’re not the only ones available.

This season — symbolically, astrologically, biologically — calls for a reset.
A new kind of nourishment.

That might look like:

* Group breathwork or somatic therapy that reconnects you to your body
* A walk with a friend, instead of another late-night scroll
* L-theanine, Lion’s Mane, saffron, Alpha GPC — to support mood, calm, and cognition
* Exploring the new supplement — for deep cellular and emotional regeneration
* Massage, safe touch, infrared sauna, time in nature
* Or even booking that immersive retreat you’ve been thinking about — the one that feels like a true YES

But here’s the caution:
This is not about stacking more hacks.
Or guilt-tripping yourself for eating chocolate.
Toxic wellness culture can disguise itself as self-improvement —
But really, it can deepen shame and disconnect us from ourselves.

I stand for bioharmony.
For resilience born from compassion.
For healing that’s authentic, cyclical and deeply human.

This Easter, let your rising be your own.
Soft. Real. Restorative.
Let hope lead.

You don’t need to fix yourself.
You get to choose yourself.
Again and again.

With you on the path.

I LOVE a supplement!
Remember though they are SUPPLEMENTARY to your foundation nutrient-dense diet.
Healing from a brain injury (skiing accident), depression, and subsequent years as a professional athlete necessitated a deep dive into the science of supplements.
Curation, synergy, and evidence-based dosing are the core pillars of my approach to supplementation. Over the years, I’ve researched and personally tested countless products—my cupboards could pass for a modern-day apothecary! But it’s not just about *what* you take: *how* and *when* you take it can make all the difference. For example, downing 20 pills with black coffee is often suboptimal, because many nutrients need fat or protein to be properly absorbed. That’s why I pair my morning regimen with collagen- and MCT-infused coffee for maximum benefit.

For real clarity, advanced tests like Nutreval or the new finger-prick assay from often surprise me in their findings - to tailor your regimen. This helps avoid pitfalls—such as taking a multivitamin at night when most B vitamins are too stimulating, or mismanaging iron and zinc interactions.
Many people say they feel NO difference from supplementing - I truly believe if you have deficiencies or imbalances you will FEEL/SEE a difference when this is corrected.

As founder of Wellgevity, my goal is to provide science-backed practical strategies so you can optimise both healthspan and lifespan. If you’re looking for personalised guidance on building a truly effective supplement routine, feel free to reach out—and stay tuned for more insights on precision longevity.

With love, Tam

21/01/2025

I’ve been using red light therapy for around eight years now, having first noticed how invigorated I felt after resting under one. Then the science came in, and its popularity soared! I now use red light daily whenever possible and often add a few drops of methylene blue to my water beforehand to enhance its effect on my mitochondria. My long Covid recovery made me even more disciplined with red light use, and if you can, I highly recommend trying a full-body light bed—like the old sun beds, but with no downsides! Regular use is key.

Red light therapy (RLT) is rapidly gaining recognition as a versatile, science-backed treatment. Unlike fleeting wellness trends, RLT is backed by robust research—supporting everything from skin health and wound healing to pain relief and cognitive enhancement.

At its core, RLT stimulates mitochondria—your cells’ energy factories—enhancing ATP production, reducing oxidative stress, and accelerating cellular repair. It’s a non-invasive therapy with impressive applications for long-term vitality.

Why does this matter?

Emerging evidence suggests RLT could be a game-changer for healthspan optimisation, with potential benefits for metabolic health, insulin sensitivity, and even brain function—improving memory, mood, and sleep.

Key things to remember:

• The ideal wavelengths are between 600–850 nm.
• Overexposure can lead to burns or eye strain—so always use protective eyewear and high-quality devices.

RLT is more than just a beauty tool—it’s a step towards longevity and cellular health. Whether you’re using it at home or in clinical settings, it’s an exciting frontier in health optimisation.

During the whirlwind of Alma Festival, a restful night’s sleep was essential. aturalmat, handcrafted in Devon where I was born and raised, provided just that. Made with organic wool and natural fibres, these mattresses offer unmatched comfort without synthetic toxins. It’s a reminder that quality sleep is the foundation of good health, allowing us to recharge, repair, and reset.

Visit the Naturalmat website through the link in our bio and use the code Wellgevity for a 10% discount.

In the spirit of prioritising recovery, here are sleep strategies I rely on to optimise rest and support longevity:

🌿 Opt for natural, toxin-free bedding: The materials you sleep on matter. Reducing exposure to synthetic chemicals can help minimise inflammation and enhance sleep quality.

🌙 Stick to a regular sleep schedule: Consistency is key. Aligning your bedtime with your natural circadian rhythm makes it easier to fall asleep and wake up feeling refreshed.

📵 Reduce stimulating activities in the evening: It’s not just the blue light from screens, but also the mental stimulation from scrolling or watching content that keeps your mind alert. Instead, try winding down with practices like meditation or gentle reading.

💡 Consider Neurostimulation for relaxation: I find devices like Nurosym helpful for winding down before bed. Paired with mindful BreathWork, these tools can help activate the parasympathetic nervous system, promoting deeper relaxation.

🌡️ Create an ideal sleep environment:
• Keep your room cool: Aim for a temperature between 60-65°F (16-18°C) to help your body naturally lower its core temperature for better sleep.
• Minimise noise: A quiet environment promotes deeper, uninterrupted sleep. Consider using earplugs if needed.
• Block out light: Even small amounts of light can disrupt your circadian rhythm. Use blackout curtains or an eye mask to ensure complete darkness.

As someone who’s navigated suboptimal immunity as both a former athlete and through the challenges of long COVID, I know this firsthand: nutrition profoundly shapes our resilience. Through my own journey, I’ve learned that overly restricting calories and carbohydrates can undermine immune strength—it’s not just about ‘what’ and ‘when’ we eat, but about viewing food as essential fuel.

In this post, I’ll share insights into how specific nutrients and mindful eating can bolster immune resilience, helping us thrive rather than merely get by. Small, informed choices can strengthen our body’s natural defences, allowing us to face life’s challenges with greater vitality.

Healthy Hedonism.
Some people come into your life as if sent by the universe—here to co-evolve with you, teach you, and support your growth. is one of those rare souls, and meeting him has profoundly shifted my life path. I am truly grateful for the friendship, wisdom, and support he’s shared with me over the years (and parties!).

This past weekend, we celebrated Michael’s birthday. He is a man whose vision for has inspired millions to embrace emotional well-being and self-care. His creativity and thoughtfulness have sparked positive change in so many lives.

The celebration was a wonderful blend of joy and restoration, combining the free-spirited essence of Burning Man with bioharmony. and I led cathartic, primal movement classes barefoot to enhance neuroplasticity and grounding, followed by a sauna and cold plunge sessions (thank you, ) to stimulate circulation and support detox pathways. We also nourished ourselves with IV infusions of amino acids, glutathione, magnesium, and antioxidants. Breathwork with , alongside some playful ta**ra, added a deeper layer of transformation.

It wasn’t just about the celebration—it was about the people who made it special. Finding your tribe—the ones who challenge, uplift, and co-evolve with you—is essential for well-being. Studies even show that a meaningful community is the key to longevity and happiness.

Here’s to Michael and this amazing tribe, one that knows how to balance the wild with the wise. Together, we continue to grow, evolve, and create magic.

In my personal journey, I’ve come to recognise the enduring impact of eudaimonic activities over the fleeting appeal of hedonic pursuits. Instead of seeking short-term pleasure, I’ve discovered that dedicating time to meaningful reflection, setting intentional goals, and cultivating deep, authentic relationships provides a far more sustainable foundation for well-being. In these moments of true connection—where we genuinely engage with others on a deeper level—we experience a fulfilment that resonates far beyond the present.

The true power of eudaimonia lies not only in fostering emotional balance but in promoting long-term growth and resilience. By aligning our actions with our values and purpose, we lay the groundwork for human flourishing—what I often refer to as Wellgevity: the pursuit of a life that is both long and profoundly enriching. While longevity speaks to adding years to life, Wellgevity ensures those years are full of meaning, health, and connection.

I have learnt through many curve balls (BioHacking mischiefs😵‍💫) that longevity lifestyles should be future-proofing, not shortcuts/hacks/shreds.
Embracing eudaimonia leads to a life lived with purpose, vitality, and a profound sense of connection to both ourselves and the world around us. 💪🤝🪐

June has been a whirlwind of events! The highlight was our 1st ever Longevity Forum, launched by and the pioneering Phil Newman (Longevity Tech). I hosted an exciting panel with and the CEO, discussing how these companies revolutionise daily health engagement.

I love that is collaborating with on biological age testing. More data means better recommendations!

Visionary Aubrey de Grey shared advancements in rejuvenation therapies and promising mouse longevity studies, predicting potential ageing control within 15 years. Staša Stanković presented groundbreaking research on genetic factors behind reproductive ageing and fertility, working on predictive tests and personalised treatments for menopause and infertility.

is a global network for entrepreneurs, connecting top tech founders, investors, and leaders to foster innovation and collaboration through exclusive events.

The Soho Farmhouse event had a legendary guest list (🤫). We launched our first “longevity lounge” and clinic initiative featuring , .wellness, , and .life

The forum also had moments of reflection with my close friend interviewing , who reminded us, “We are all connected to each other, biologically. To the earth, chemically. To the rest of the universe, atomically.” During a five-minute meditation, he even provoked some tears as he asked us to connect to our hearts.

People often ask how I keep going through such intense weeks. My secret? My handbag is an apothecary—from .ketones to gummies, ni****ne nasal spray (focus), charcoal (to mop up some chemicals/alcohol), and anti-histamine. I am a walking bio-harmonising unit (😂).
