This meeting was well organised, convivial and packed with information.

Although more aimed at those new to hair transplantation, there was enough for experienced doctors to benefit too, especially regarding the Zeus Ugraft FUE machine.

And it’s good to know that our clinical practice is still aligned with current thinking.

In fact, it was good to hear a healthy dose of realism and pragmatism, especially when discussing graft numbers with both FUE and FUT.

In essence, 5000 grafts total in the average donor area is possible, for some patients. For some, that is way too many and it will be visibly over harvested.

So don’t believe the hype - when you see numbers of 7000+ grafts, almost certainly that will be exaggerated, or talking hairs or possibly body hair transplants.

Look after your donor area!
