The Power to Adjust!

When we’re faced with the need to adjust to someone or a situation, it’s easy to get caught up in negative thoughts. We may feel like we’re compromising only for the other person’s sake, and that can be frustrating.

But true adjustment means recognizing that some situations are beyond our control and accepting them as they are. By choosing to adjust, we’re not just making things easier for others—we’re paving the way for our own growth and peace of mind.

Think of it as encountering a physical obstacle on your path. You can’t remove it, but by finding a way around it, you can continue to move forward and make progress.

The difference between confidence and overconfidence

Is in vigilance.

Whenever we have to do something challenging, it is important that we have confidence that we can do it. Of course, we may need help from others, but still we have it in us to be able to do it.

That confidence is essential. However, confidence can easily slide towards overconfidence, where we start thinking that our success is guaranteed.

Where we stop being vigilant, whether it is to unexpected circumstances or dangers or whether it is to our awareness of our inadequacies and our need for help from others.

Overconfidence can ruin us, whereas confidence can help us march ahead in life.
