I remember 2009 well. Not only was it a busy time, full of challenges, in my teaching job, but it was also an unexpected turning point, which was to eventually lead me to being a pain therapist.
I was suffering with headaches, stomach issues and fatigue. I just felt unwell. After seeing many doctors and feeling no better I started to look outside the normal medical profession. This was to take me on a fascinating journey.
A chance comment during a massage session stuck in my mind. ‘I think Mary can help you get back on your feet. She is a ‘Kinesiologist ‘
I had no idea what Mary did and to make matters worse Mary lived in Sussex, which was a 3 hour trip from my home on the Isle of Wight. It didn’t matter what Mary did, instinct and recommendation told me I needed her!
Over a course of 6 sessions I had had regained my energy. I was fighting fit for the Ofsted inspectors.
How was I to know that the experience with Mary was to change my life and make me realise that there are alternatives to traditional medicine. And they work!
I was hooked, both on maintaining my health, understanding my on body’s workings and learning more.
Synchronicity struck when I saw an advert in a local magazine for Kinesiology training. You may be wondering what this is. Basically it uses mucle testing to find where the body is out of balance, and suffering health issues on any level and indicates what it needs to heal. Amazing stuff.
4 years later and £6000 lighter I became a professional therapist, with a range of qualifications. I had retired and moved to St Neots, where I set up a successful practice.
The next twist in my story was discovering, a great methodology to help people suffering from chronic pain, often dependent on medication and struggling with their everyday lives.
I was totally gobsmacked by the results I saw on the OldPain2go training. It is a method devised and developed by Steven Blake, based on proven scientific research on how pain operates and why some people suffer from chronic pain for years.
