Tuina Harmony

Tui- Na, pronounced Twee-nah which means to push and grasp is an ancient Chinese medical treatment which works on the same theory as acupuncture. Tui-na can treat conditions that in the West would be treated by Osteopaths, Chiropractors and Physiotherapists. The treatment is performed using various massage techniques and manipulation through a clothed body with aim to facilitate the flow of Qi (pronounced Chee) through a system of channels called meridians. It has the ability to work on the local muscle near the trauma and can break down adhesions and scar tissue to increase the flow of stagnated blood and oxygen to promote the body’s natural healing process and help relieve pain.

Tui-na works with a wide range of conditions including, Back and neck pain, Postural misalignment, Sports injuries, Achilles heel, plantar pain, frozen shoulder,Sciatica, Rheumatoid arthritis, Joint pain, stress related illnesses and many more.

Your first treatment will include a full consultation in which I will discuss and agree the most appropriate treatment plan for you. I will also demonstrate some stretches and some basic techniques that you can do at home which will further help with the healing process.

I have a client base at Lee Valley Athletics track and Woodford Running club. I am also available for home visits in London and surrounding areas, corporate bookings and mini talks and demonstrations.
