ARE YOU FED UP CONSTANTLY YO-YO DIETING?

Recently I have been working with many clients that have come to me in such despair, they are feeling disheartened, disillusioned, disappointed, totally fed up.
They have tried many diets in the past and although they have worked initially, something happens in life, they have had a very stressful day at the office, a family bereavement, something has happened to throw them off course.

They start to do the one thing that they think will make them better. They start eating their emotions, they then give up on the diet and then they are back to where they have started.

Does this sound like you? Let me help you to get over your emotional eating and understand why you are doing this. So the next time you are in a tough situation, you will know how to deal with your emotions rather than going for food.
Contact me to see how I can help you to move forward and create healthier eating habits.

Anxiety can look very different in everyone. Although high-functioning anxiety may not be a recognised diagnosis, it is something that many people identify with.

People who may not look anxious, and may appear to have “it all sorted” may be having constant internal battles with their inner voice.
Just because is isn’t clearly visible, doesn’t mean it’s not there.

High-functioning anxiety sufferers lack self-esteem and self-confidence, and they attempt to compensate for their insecurities by constantly pushing themselves to do better or to please others.

Unfortunately, their goals are often unrealistic, and their failure to meet them only reinforces their chronic feelings of tension and inadequacy.

If you can identify with this, and you do not want those feelings anymore, the first thing to do is to acknowledge that, while you may not necessarily have a diagnosable illness, living with fear and worry is not something that you have to accept.

You may want to consider that despite functioning capably, these feelings are disrupting your wellbeing enough that you would like to have a life without them.
Pay attention to your thoughts, how you feel, and your actions.

It may turn out that you have developed coping mechanisms, and keeping track of your emotions and actions may reveal them to you.

You can then assess if your anxiety is holding you back in any way.

Consider talking to friends, family or professionals about how you are feeling.
Give yourself the permission and time to embrace self-care.

Prioritise your own wellbeing.

It can be a stressful, lonely and exhausting way to live, which you should not have to put up.

As it is the start of a new week, it is a great opportunity for me to reintroduce myself. I have had lots of new followers and new enquiries.

I wanted to say hello and a big thank you for following me and supporting me. It is so lovely to have you here.
So who am I? I’m Rachel the face behind Simply Hypnotherapy.
Here is a little bit about me
👨‍👩‍👧 I’m a wife, mummy and cat mummy to my daughter Darcy age 11,Jacob Cat🐈 and 3 crazy kitties, Polly, Pippa, Purdy.
🏛I worked in Banking for 20 years before deciding to become a therapist which is a job I completely love. I wish I had changed my career sooner!
👩🏼I absolutely love talking all things mental health, mindset and sharing hints and tips on how we can improve this.
🎨My happy place is either with my daughter doing arts and crafts, baking 🧁 or reading 📚. This really helps to clear our mind and focus on the task ahead!
🏖 Another happy place for our family is Tenerife.

I am also qualified in past life regression and future life progression, TFT (Tapping) which are all amazing techniques.

I offer a specialised weight loss programme, ‘Slim Via Hypnosis’🍏🥕

I am always investing in my business and in myself so that I can offer you even more, I am currently studying counselling and psychotherapy. I have just started my placement hours working with 11-18 year olds.

I’d love to hear more about you and your therapy experiences. If you would like to discover more about how therapy/hypnotherapy and how it can help transform your life. I’m currently taking bookings now.

I’m looking forward to hearing from you.

SELF CARE TIPS
✦Self care means taking time to do things you enjoy. Usually, self-care involves everyday activities that you find relaxing, fun, or energizing. These activities could be as simple as reading a book, or as big as going on holiday.
✦Self care also means taking care of yourself. This means eating regular meals, getting enough sleep, caring for personal hygiene, and anything else that maintains good health.
✦Make self care a priority. There will always be other things to do, but don’t let these interrupt the time you set aside for self-care. Self care should be given the same importance as other responsibilities.
✦Set specific self care goals. It’s difficult to follow through with vague goals, such as “I will take more time for self-care”. Instead, try something specific, such as “I will walk for 30 minutes every evening after dinner”.
✦Make self care a habit. Just like eating one apple doesn’t eliminate health problems, using self care just once won’t have much effect on reducing stress. Choose activities that you can do often, and that you will stick with.
✦Set boundaries to protect your self care. You don’t need a major obligation to say “no” to others your self care is reason enough. Remind yourself that your needs are as important as anyone else’s.
✦A few minutes of self care is better than no self care. Set an alarm reminding you to take regular breaks, even if it’s just a walk around the block, or an uninterrupted snack. Oftentimes, stepping away will energize you to work more efficiently when you return.
✦Unhealthy activities don’t count as self care. Substance use, over-eating, and other unhealthy behaviors might hide uncomfortable emotions temporarily, but they cause more problems in the long run.
✦Keep up with self care, even when you’re feeling good. Doing so will keep you in a healthy routine. Plus, self care might be part of the reason why you’re feeling good!

Welcome to Simply Hypnotherapy

Hi I am Rachel, let me tell you a bit about myself. I am a very hard working Mummy to my gorgeous daughter Darcy. Having children really makes you reflect on life and put things into perspective. I had a bit of a reflection moment when I reached one of my milestone birthdays. I had been working in financial services for nearly 20 years, I felt like I was just existing and not really seeing the world for what it really was. I wanted to do something which I would get self satisfaction from and I really wanted to help people overcome their own personal challenges. Life is tough and pressured and many other things. I want to be the person that you feel you can come to, to help you through life’s everyday challenges. This is when I decided to have a complete career change and go back to the study books and this is how Simply Hypnotherapy was born.

I am a fully qualified hypnotherapist and I can help you overcome many concerns in a very comfortable, quiet and cosy environment. You can talk to me knowing that I will give you my full attention and we can work together to help you overcome whatever is troubling you. Please have a look a my page for a list of services that I can offer. If you cannot see what you are looking for then please contact me and I will be more than happy to discuss with you.
