ARE YOU FED UP CONSTANTLY YO-YO DIETING?

Recently I have been working with many clients that have come to me in such despair, they are feeling disheartened, disillusioned, disappointed, totally fed up.
They have tried many diets in the past and although they have worked initially, something happens in life, they have had a very stressful day at the office, a family bereavement, something has happened to throw them off course.

They start to do the one thing that they think will make them better. They start eating their emotions, they then give up on the diet and then they are back to where they have started.

Does this sound like you? Let me help you to get over your emotional eating and understand why you are doing this. So the next time you are in a tough situation, you will know how to deal with your emotions rather than going for food.
Contact me to see how I can help you to move forward and create healthier eating habits.

WEEKLY WINS

It has been a busy first week of 2026 for me and my clients. I am currently working with clients from age 15 up to age 70. I have been working with Exam nerves, Anxiety, Stop Smoking, PTSD, Weight Loss, OCD.

My Clients have updated me on their Exam nerves: 'YOU MIGHT NOT BELIEVE THIS BUT I FINALLY PASSED. I CAN'T BELIEVE IT. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR HELPING ME FOCUS. I REALLY APPRECIATE IT. AMAZING. THANK YOU!'

This particular client had been trying to pass an industry exam, which was extremely important to their pending career promotion. They had previously taken this exam 4 times and had not been successful. This promotion was going to change the clients life both financially and also give them the opportunity to follow their dream job and move to Dubai.

This client really took onboard what we did in our sessions, listened to the recordings and put in place good preparations. Now the clients can really live their life that they have always dreamed of.

I am so very fortunate to work with such amazing clients. If you are struggling more than usual or you want to get on top of your weight or stop smoking. Then reach out. I would love to help you.

ANXIETY

I work with a lot of client's who come to me because they feel that they are suffering with 'anxiety'.

Anxiety exists to make us vigilant against real life threats, it is there for a reason, and makes us human.

For some people living with overwhelming anxiety can feel scary or even life threatening, which can lead to suffering and misery.

The pandemic certainly heightened symptoms of anxiety and even though we are nearly 6 years down the line, I am still getting clients coming to me that are still not in the head space they were before the pandemic. Clients are still coming to terms with what went on and still reassessing their life, change takes time especially if you are suffering with anxiety.

It can be very scary and daunting reaching out for help, but when you do, you are taking the first step on moving forward.

If you feel you are struggling more than usual.

I can help you understand anxiety and give you the tools to manage and cope with anxiety on a daily basis.

So if you are feeling panicky, dizzy, jittery, irritable or shaky and you are also experiencing insomnia, tight chest, clammy hands, or you are just not feeling yourself then get in touch and we can discuss how you can move forward in a positive way.

Let's Talk About Burnout

I have been speaking to lots of my clients last week about what they want to do differently next year. A few of them mentioned gaining a better work life balance, Having more time for themselves and being aware when things seem to be getting out of control.

So I thought it would be good to refresh your memory about what Burnout is and how it can impact you.

Burnout isn’t just about being tired, it is so much more than that, it’s a state of emotional, physical, and mental exhaustion caused by prolonged stress. It’s sneaky, and often, we don’t realise it until we’re deep in it.

Here are some common signs:
💤 Constant fatigue, no matter how much you rest
😔 Feeling detached or unmotivated
🤯 Increased irritability or frustration
🤕 Physical symptoms like headaches or stomach issues

But let’s have a reality check here, burnout isn’t just about overworking. It can come from:

Unrealistic expectations (from others or ourselves)
Neglecting self-care to meet deadlines
Lack of support in our personal or professional lives

Why Should We Care?
Burnout impacts your relationships, health, and even your creativity. When left unchecked, it can lead to long-term health problems like anxiety or depression.

How Can We Beat It?
Here are some ideas:
1️⃣ Set boundaries, learn to say NO.
2️⃣ Prioritise rest, it’s productive too.
3️⃣ Reach out to a therapist or good friend or family member, talking helps lighten the load.

Remember, it’s okay to take a break. You can’t pour from an empty cup.

If this sounds like you or anyone else that you know please share this post with them.

SELF CARE TIPS
✦Self care means taking time to do things you enjoy. Usually, self-care involves everyday activities that you find relaxing, fun, or energizing. These activities could be as simple as reading a book, or as big as going on holiday.
✦Self care also means taking care of yourself. This means eating regular meals, getting enough sleep, caring for personal hygiene, and anything else that maintains good health.
✦Make self care a priority. There will always be other things to do, but don’t let these interrupt the time you set aside for self-care. Self care should be given the same importance as other responsibilities.
✦Set specific self care goals. It’s difficult to follow through with vague goals, such as “I will take more time for self-care”. Instead, try something specific, such as “I will walk for 30 minutes every evening after dinner”.
✦Make self care a habit. Just like eating one apple doesn’t eliminate health problems, using self care just once won’t have much effect on reducing stress. Choose activities that you can do often, and that you will stick with.
✦Set boundaries to protect your self care. You don’t need a major obligation to say “no” to others your self care is reason enough. Remind yourself that your needs are as important as anyone else’s.
✦A few minutes of self care is better than no self care. Set an alarm reminding you to take regular breaks, even if it’s just a walk around the block, or an uninterrupted snack. Oftentimes, stepping away will energize you to work more efficiently when you return.
✦Unhealthy activities don’t count as self care. Substance use, over-eating, and other unhealthy behaviors might hide uncomfortable emotions temporarily, but they cause more problems in the long run.
✦Keep up with self care, even when you’re feeling good. Doing so will keep you in a healthy routine. Plus, self care might be part of the reason why you’re feeling good!

STOP SMOKING

Have you ever wanted to STOP SMOKING but didn't have enough will power? Have you tried many times and failed?

This client booked in for the 'EASY STOP SMOKING PROGRAMME' they desperately wanted to stop as it was really beginning to effect their health. They were suffering with constant chest infections, it was effecting their sleep at night, they were snoring, feeling fatigued and they were really struggling with their confidence and anxiety.

They were smoking at least a pack a day and it was costing them £336 per month. Think what you could do with that money. This client was going to save up to go away on a nice holiday, and also use this money with everyday living costs.

This client had been smoking for over 30 years, they realised it was a nasty habit and it was not benefitting them or their loved ones.

This is what the client said.

'JUST THOUGHT I'D GIVE YOU AN UP DATE ......................

I AM 100% A NON SMOKER

MY FRIENDS ARE FINDING IT STRANGER THAN I AM LOL. I'VE USED GUM FOR A FEW DAYS AND USED A PATCH FOR THE FIRST WEEKEND AND HAD ONE VERY REAL CRAVING WHEN STRESS LEVELS GOT SILLY HIGH BUT I DIDN'T TURN TO A CIGARETTE. I HAVE SO MUCH MORE TIME AND MY TIN IS RATHER HAPPY WITH THE AMOUNT OF £10 NOTES IT HAS IN IT ALREADY.

THANK YOU SO MUCH I'VE FOUND IT SO MUCH EASIER THAN EXPECTED.

PEOPLE'S REACTIONS ARE HILARIOUS, ESPECIALLY WHEN I SAID I HAD HYPNOTHERAPY, AMAZING HOW SCEPTICAL PEOPLE ARE.

ANYWAY, THANK YOU SO SO MUCH'

The 'EASY STOP SMOKING PROGRAMME' is one session with me. So if you want to save some money, save your health and STOP SMOKING I would love to help you.

Welcome to Simply Hypnotherapy

Hi I am Rachel, let me tell you a bit about myself. I am a very hard working Mummy to my gorgeous daughter Darcy. Having children really makes you reflect on life and put things into perspective. I had a bit of a reflection moment when I reached one of my milestone birthdays. I had been working in financial services for nearly 20 years, I felt like I was just existing and not really seeing the world for what it really was. I wanted to do something which I would get self satisfaction from and I really wanted to help people overcome their own personal challenges. Life is tough and pressured and many other things. I want to be the person that you feel you can come to, to help you through life’s everyday challenges. This is when I decided to have a complete career change and go back to the study books and this is how Simply Hypnotherapy was born.

I am a fully qualified hypnotherapist and I can help you overcome many concerns in a very comfortable, quiet and cosy environment. You can talk to me knowing that I will give you my full attention and we can work together to help you overcome whatever is troubling you. Please have a look a my page for a list of services that I can offer. If you cannot see what you are looking for then please contact me and I will be more than happy to discuss with you.
