MAY SCHEDULE

We have so many bank holidays in May! Who is looking forward to the shorter work weeks?

But of course, we didn't want anyone to miss out on yoga, so we are putting on some extra classes on Tuesdays

Plus, Saturdays are unaffected! So you can join us as usual at 10.15am on Saturdays for open, all-levels group classes

Our next 'Introduction to Yoga' course starts this Saturday!

The 6-week course will run every Saturday at 9am, starting from this Saturday, 29th April

You will....
⭐️ Learn the foundations of yoga including key postures and sun salutations
⭐️ Improve your strength, mobility, adaptability and fitness
⭐️ Retrain your movement patterns to create better balance in your body

In the 6 weeks, we cover the key areas of the body, starting with a foundation of getting your posture aligned, then building on that foundation, we cover…

🧘‍♀️ Hip mobility
🧘‍♀️ Shoulder mobility
🧘‍♀️ Thoracic rotation (twists)
💪🏻 Core strength

…. and we increase the energy levels over the 6 weeks too, so by the end, your cardio fitness gets a boost!

I tailor the course each time to the group that book on, so don't worry if you are working with an injury or if you have any mobility restrictions - this is YOUR course, so we adapt to make it work for YOU!

Since health and well-being goals are amongst the most popular new year's resolutions (hello to hundreds of new faces in the gym in January!), it's not surprising if you have already given up on your new fitness plan.

NEW CLASS ON MONDAY EVENINGS

Excited to share that we are launching a new Monday evening class!

This addition to our schedule is a weekly class, open to all levels!

In each session you can expect a total body exercise class that works on your strength, mobility and balance, and we might even throw in some plyo work to boost your cardio fitness too!

And of course, don't forget that yoga is a mindfulness-based practice, so even throughout the higher energy parts of the class, we always stay connected to breathing and stay present & focused.

It is drop-in, but you do need to book in advance either by messaging me or emailing enquiries@physioandmore.co.uk as we have limited space.

MEET YOUR TEACHER: MELANIE

Melanie runs the yoga classes at Physio & More, and is on a mission to bust the myth that yoga is just about stretching, and instead is a one-stop shop to support your health and fitness!

Melanie is trained in LYT Method Yoga, a style of yoga that was developed by a physiotherapist to help clients improve their movement patterns.

All Melanie's classes are based on the principles of LYT Method Yoga, so you can expect to see improvements in mobility, strength, and even cardiovascular fitness (she loves to incorporate plyometric movements like jumps to really boost your fitness!)

Ultimately, her goal is to hardwire your brain for better movement patterns, so you can expect to see improvements each week in how balanced you feel in your body, not just on the yoga mat but in your day-to-day life as well.

Outside of yoga, Melanie enjoys singing in a choir, hiking in the mountains and is a major bookworm who LOVES reading. (But to be honest, she spends almost every waking minute living & breathing yoga!!)
