We’re almost two weeks into our Total Triage system, thank you for all the feedback we have received so far!

We know it’s a change and may take some getting used to, we are reviewing feedback and making tweaks to the system along the way, but we’re already seeing the benefits:
✅ More patients using our Accurx online triage form
✅ Shorter phone call wait times
✅ Faster, fairer access to care

How to submit a request:
🖥 Use the Accurx Triage Form via our website www.chingfordmedicalpractice.nhs.uk
📞 Can’t complete it online? Call the practice and our reception team will be happy to complete a form for you.

This helps the GP assess your needs and arrange the right care, whether this be an appointment at the practice, signposting to a local service, or a message with advice!

What happens next?
The practice will contact you with an outcome of your request!

📞 Can’t use the online form?
Call us — a receptionist will help complete it for you.

🗣️ Please note:
Reception staff will ask some brief questions about your health.
This helps the GP assess and arrange the right care for you.

👉 You will be contacted with an appointment after GP triage.

Bladder cancer is a serious condition, but early detection can make a big difference. Learn about the signs, symptoms, and treatments by visiting https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/bladder-cancer/

David's story is not just about his fight against cancer but also about the power of community support. He talks about how his wife found a bladder cancer forum that connected him with others facing similar challenges. Inspired, David started his own support group – a supportive space where patients and carers share stories and offer mutual support.

Now back to full health, David shares his unrestricted life post-recovery and emphasises the importance of seeking medical advice at the first sign of trouble. His message is clear: early detection and the right support can lead to a full and rewarding life after bladder cancer.
