We are honoured to share our next Menstrual Medicine guest teaching session with you. We have wonderful Rubi Rodriguez joining us to hold a session on Decolonising Menstruation: Indigenous Knowledge and Body Autonomy in Abya Yala (the Americas).
This session explores menstruation through the lens of indigenous wisdom, historical memory, and decolonial practice in Abya Yala (the Americas). Drawing from pre-Hispanic records, anthropological research, and living indigenous traditions, participants will discover how menstruation has been understood and honoured across time and place in ways that challenge colonial narratives about bodies and cycles.
Session Details:
Date: 11 May 2026
Time: 10am to 12pm
Place: Zoom (recording will be made available to purchase afterwards - attendees will receive the recording)
