📰 Empowering the Elderly: Bangladesh Centre and WONDER-UK Host 3-Part Health & Mobility Seminar in London
London, 28 July 2025:
In a powerful step toward supporting the wellbeing and independence of elderly and neurodegenerative patients, Bangladesh Centre London and the Welfare Organisation for Neurodegenerative & Elderly Rehabilitation (WONDER-UK) jointly organised a three-part seminar and workshop titled “Enhancing Mobility for Health, Wellbeing and Functionality.” The event took place on Sunday, 27th July 2025, at the Bangladesh Centre London, drawing in members of the local community, carers, healthcare workers, and families.
This dynamic, hands-on programme was uniquely structured into three segments:
🔹 1. Expert Talks
Renowned UK-based health professionals delivered informative presentations on:
• Chronic pain and neuromusculoskeletal condition management
• Prevention of frailty and fall-related injuries
• Strengthening independence through physical rehabilitation and exercise
🔹 2. Group Exercises
Participants engaged in guided group sessions with physiotherapists, focusing on safe movements, balance training, and flexibility exercises tailored for aging and neurologically impaired individuals.
🔹 3. One-to-One Physiotherapy Support
Attendees received personalised assessments and practical guidance through individual sessions with qualified physiotherapists, who offered mobility checks, advice, and customised rehabilitation plans.

🗣️ Khaled Patwary, Director, WONDER-UK:
“This initiative is part of our broader mission to empower elderly and neuro-rehab patients. Working alongside Bangladesh Centre allowed us to connect with the people who need this support most.
