The more time I spend gathering with women, joining circles, attending women’s health workshops, and holding space myself, the more I discover answers about who I am. Simply by tapping into each other’s inner wisdom, we uncover so much truth and healing.

Lately, I’ve been reading a beautiful book called Unwell Women by Elinor Cleghorn. It explores the history of female health and the prejudices and assumptions that have long pushed women out of the conversation about our own bodies. It also highlights the countless times our inner wisdom has been dismissed or labelled as “woo-woo.”
To be honest, it wasn’t always an easy read. Many of the facts were already familiar to me, but seeing lined up made me understand more deeply, and with greater compassion, why we, as women, often struggle to take ownership of our health. Why we doubt our intuition, and why we force to fit ourself in one box, when inside us there is a multitude of us which is why we often know what is best regardless of the circustances.
