Some days, being a mum and having a career, feels like living two full lives in one day. So, to all my mum friends, who are all quietly working to capacity. I see you!

The ones who switch from “Mum” to “Professional” in the space of a school run. Who answer emails in the drop-off carpark while mentally planning projects, booking meetings, and remembering which day is PE and if the reading log is signed.

The ones who feel the constant push and pull. The ambition and the guilt. The pride and the pressure. The quiet question of “Am I doing enough?” in both worlds.

There is so much invisible effort in what you do. The mental load. The emotional balancing act. The thinking ahead, the staying up late, the getting up early. The way you make it manageable when it rarely feels that way.
