Exciting news – applications are now open!
I’m proud to be co-directing the NAOS Advanced Diploma in Psychosexual and Relationship Psychotherapy – a training close to my heart and aligned with everything I believe about healing, depth, and inclusive practice. 💜

This is not a standard psychotherapy diploma.
It’s a deep, formational journey into working with sexuality, intimacy, power, and human connection in all its complexity.

✨ We centre the intentional use of self
🌍 We explore identity, intersectionality & cultural humility
🎓 We offer clinical placements & supervision from year one
💻 Hybrid format – accessible to UK & EU practitioners
🎙️ Led by an international faculty (and myself 😊)

If you’re a therapist looking to evolve, not just professionally, but personally, this might be the next step.

📥 Message me if you want to talk more.

💭 My Reflections & Provocations:

🌀 Is it sexual impulsion… or a monotropic form of stimming?

What if what we often label as compulsive sexual behavior (CSB) or addiction in autistic individuals is actually a monotropic-style coping mechanism?
A form of emotional or sensory regulation—not pathology?
Can sexuality become a kind of stim?
Can it be a hyperfocus that soothes or grounds?
Is anyone else in the world asking this?

If you’ve ever experienced sexuality that way—deeply regulating, deeply consuming—please share.

These are voices we need.

Let’s explore.
Let’s challenge.
Let’s reimagine.

🧠 Cognitive:
We may analyse patterns of attraction, study emotional dynamics, build inner taxonomies of touch, identity, power.

📚 Intellectual:
Our curiosity might centre on theory—gender, kink, ethics, history, anatomy, queerness—approached with depth, rigour, and awe.

👁️ Experiential / Sensual:
We often seek controlled, immersive engagement. Texture, rhythm, timing. Repetition, ritual, narrative.
Pleasure isn’t impulsive—it’s crafted.

This isn’t dysfunction. It’s a neurodivergent expression of desire—rooted in focus, not deviance.

Structure isn’t limiting. For many of autistic us, it’s what makes intimacy possible. Kink, ritual, repetition—they’re not escapes. They’re languages autistic bodies can trust. JKL

Monotropism means we connect by going deep, not wide. It’s not intensity that’s the problem—it’s the world expecting us to split our focus -JKL

Monotropism is a theory of autistic attention.
It describes a mind that naturally focuses on one thing at a time—intensely, with depth.
Rather than spreading attention across multiple streams, we enter deep flow states.
It affects how we relate, feel, desire, and connect.

We don’t need to fit the model. We need room to be understood outside of it. - JKL

Neurodivergence shapes how we connect, desire, and relate. This work isn’t about correction—it’s about clarity.
I don’t translate them to fix—I translate them to reveal. JKL
