Every single one counts, they are all important.
Failed cycles, chemical pregnancies, miscarriages and all those either side and in-between.
This week will be a time to remember them, what could have been. The loss is palpable. Never feel silly, like they don’t matter.
Never feel you have to say “it wasn’t really anything yet”
Because to you it was the world.
It was a chance, a hope, a potential future.
They all matter and we deserve to remember them as it’s right for us.
For some, it doesn’t hit hard - and that’s ok. Some view it differently, and that’s ok.
For others, it’s like a brick in the heart. When it’s like this, telling ourselves to just forget it, reprimanding ourselves for being silly doesn’t help. It deepens the wound. Makes the next try harder because we know what’s at stake.
Acknowledging it, recognising it, processing it and allowing yourself to heal can help.
Because healing isn’t forgetting. We’ll never forget. But the hurt won’t stay like it is today. The hurt will shift to memories that can be cherished, instead of weighing us down.
If this is on your mind this week, for the first time I’ll be hosting a free drop in clinic on Sunday 29th at 8:30pm. An informal space to hang out with others who truly get it. Check the link for the Zoom details, or DM
