Congratulations to Kate, our Activity Coordinator at Westside who has won the Employee of the Month Award for July 2025! Kate commenced with our sister home Hill House in March 2021 where she worked as a Senior Carer before being promoted to Team Leader. In 2023 Kate then transferred over to Westside to take over the role of Activity Coordinator, which she has enjoyed ever since.

The nominations she received were about her being a good team player, entertaining our residents very well and being pleasant and willing. Another nomination mentioned Kate’s great support at our recent Strawberry Tea Event and I think everyone who attended that event would support that nomination and also include her being a very willing ‘backing singer’ for Barry!

All of our winners receive a personalised certificate to keep and a voucher to spend, and we display their certificate in our reception area.

We had a delightful time with the ABBA tribute entertainment. All the residents thoroughly enjoyed the fantastic performance, singing along to the beloved songs.

Our residents absolutely adore spending time in this bright area. A huge shoutout to our wonderful staff member, Anna, whose green thumb keeps everything looking so lovely. It's the perfect spot for relaxation, a cup of tea, and enjoying the view, no matter the weather!

We're absolutely thrilled to announce a wonderful new addition to our Uplands Unit here at Hill House Care home! Our residents can now enjoy a brand-new sensory wall, designed to engage and delight their senses.
Sensory walls offer so many fantastic benefits, from promoting relaxation and reducing anxiety to encouraging exploration and stimulating cognitive function. It's already bringing so much joy, and we can't wait for all our residents to experience it. Come see it for yourself!
