Today is National Therapy Animal Day 🐾 A day created to recognise the incredible impact therapy animals (and their humans) have on people’s lives.

From hospitals to schools and even airports, therapy animals bring comfort, companionship and emotional support, helping to reduce stress, ease anxiety and boost overall wellbeing.

Cats in particular have such a calm, gentle and intuitive nature, making them perfect for creating those quiet, meaningful moments of connection.
What makes them even more special is their ability to travel and reach different communities, spreading that comfort far and wide 🐱✨

At Kitty Yoga, this is exactly what inspired our Kitty Therapy sessions — creating a space to slow down, switch off and experience the calming (and sometimes chaotic) joy of being around kittens.
Sometimes it’s playful, sometimes it’s peaceful… but the feeling you leave with is always the same 🐾💛

Today is National Cat Lady Day🐱 A day dedicated to celebrating women who love, care for and advocate for cats.
While the phrase “cat lady” is often used playfully today, it actually has quite a history.
Cats were once revered in ancient Egypt, even worshipped as sacred animals.
But centuries later, during the witch trials, women who kept cats were often feared and accused of having “familiars”, giving cats and their owners a darker reputation.

By the 1950s–70s, the stereotype evolved again, with single or widowed women who loved cats portrayed in TV and films as lonely or eccentric. In 2009, the term “crazy cat lady” became widely popularised, cementing the label we still hear today.
Thankfully, times have changed — and many people now proudly reclaim the title.

Cats bring comfort, companionship and even proven wellbeing benefits, something we see in every class.
So today we’re celebrating all the proud cat ladies (and cat lovers of every kind) who know just how special these little creatures are 🐾

Today is Cuddly Kitten Day, a day dedicated to celebrating the comfort, joy and emotional support these tiny furballs bring into our lives 🐱✨

Spending time cuddling a kitten isn’t just cute… it can actually be incredibly beneficial for our wellbeing. Studies have shown that interacting with animals can help reduce stress, lower blood pressure and release feel-good hormones like oxytocin and serotonin. Even something as simple as hearing a cat purr or gently stroking their fur can have a calming effect on the mind and body.

So today is the perfect reminder to give your own cat some extra love and take a moment to appreciate the magical healing powers of kittens 💕🐱

Introducing Ragdolls!😻
Known for their gentle nature, affectionate personalities and striking blue eyes. True to their name, they often go completely floppy when picked up — making them one of the most relaxed and cuddly cat breeds around.
Their calm temperament and love for human attention make them natural stars in our classes, always happy to curl up on a mat or settle in for a cuddle🐱💜

We’ve been lucky enough to welcome some beautiful Ragdoll kittens, known for their silky coats, sweet personalities and very photogenic faces ✨
