We're thrilled to announce that our home is undergoing a transformational refurbishment! ✨

Over the coming weeks and months, you'll see some exciting changes taking place throughout the home. From beautifully designed communal spaces to modernised bedrooms, we're refreshing our environment to be even more comfortable and welcoming.

On St. Swithin's Day, the Church of England had fellowship with the people living with us.

The priest read the bible and summarised the reading for them. They sang some hymns and had communion. It was a very good afternoon and everyone enjoyed More...Connection.

Wimbledon was a successful More...Movement activity here at Ashmead.

The people living with us played ballon tennis and watched the tennis on the TV. Jannik was the men's tennis winner and Iga was the women's winner at the end of the competition. Everyone was very happy and enjoyed the games, before tucking into refreshing ice lollies, milk chocolate drinks, juice, and biscuits!

Today, our care home was filled with the sweet smell of freshly baked chocolate brownies. The lovely people living with us rolled up their sleeves, stirred in some love, and created delicious treats to celebrate this chocolatey occasion.

We stepped into a world of wonder for our Alice Day Evening Club, and it was a magical time for everyone!

Those living with us had a great time playing “Guess the Person or Place”, a game full of laughter and surprises — even our manager joined in the fun!

To keep things sweet and refreshing, we served cold chocolate milk and delicious ice creams. The evening ended on a high note with music, dancing and singing, and More...Movement!

We had a heartwarming visit from the wonderful children of Granard Nursery School, who spent a delightful afternoon with those living with us here at Ashmead Care Centre.

The children brought so much joy as they: sang cheerful songs, played fun games, read beautiful stories — including The Ugly Duckling and The Rainbow Fish.

Our loved ones were absolutely thrilled to spend time with the little ones, sharing smiles, laughter, and More...Connection. A big thank you to the children, their teachers, and our team for making this visit so memorable! We look forward to many more moments like this.

We had a fantastic time celebrating American Independence Day with those living with us!

Our lounge was beautifully decorated in red, white, and blue, and we brought the celebration to every corner of the home with a festive trolley tour! We had a stunning cake decorated like the American flag, delicious cupcakes, classic hot dogs, and refreshing iced teas.

We were also delighted to welcome a special guest, a US citizen who joined us for the celebration and made the day even more meaningful.

Thank you to friends and families, who joined us in decorating and celebrating together, and to our amazing team for making the day so special for everyone!
