HIV cure finally here!!

News on the ground is that, soon or later, HIV could be a history or, the pill burden will soon be forgotten.
As I talk now, functional HIV cure trials just started last month. And 6 people already enrolled!

What is functional HIV cure?
In here, there are 2 options.
1. Eliminate HIV completely out the body. Or
2. Permanently or completely suppress HIV such that a patient does not need to take any HIV medications.

What is current HIV cure updates?
Scientists will be using your own blood to achieve either one, or both of the above options. Your blood will be drawn(just like donating blood), your t-lymphocytes (CD4 cells) filtered, then genetically modified by editing your genes. Editing your CD4 cells will make them resistant to HIV infection, so you want have HIV reinfect your new CD4 cells, and so your CD4 cells will remain high. Your immunity will stay strong and no one will get AIDs, the final HIV stage.

After editing your genes on HIV receiptors (CCR5), your blood ( CD4 cells) will be re-injected back into your body in just less than 34-40 days, and boom!

1. you body will become resistant to HIV.
2. You CD4 cells won't be attacked by HIV.
3. Hiv won't multiply with in your body.
4. Your body will kill HIV by it's own.

It's very interesting news because
1. No medicine will be used to treat your HIV. Scientists will use your own CD4 cells to kill your HIV

2. No transmitting HIV anymore coz the amount of virus in your body will be reducing day by day and, everyone will be undetectable.

3. No need of ARVs again coz your t-lymphocytes can survive for many and many years. Your modified t-lymphocytes will keep protecting you.

How long can HIV hide itself in your body?
