Here are our five tips for washing your feet:
1. Start by using warm water to help soften any dirt or dead skin on your feet. Avoid using hot water, as it can strip the skin of its natural oils.
2. Choose a moisturising soap specifically formulated for the feet. These products are designed to clean and exfoliate the skin on the feet effectively. If you don't have a special formulation then, a gentle body wash will also work.
3. Gently wash your feet with a soft wash cloth paying particular attention to the areas between the toes and the heels. If you have rough areas, a pumice stone can help gently exfoliate them.
4. Rinse your feet thoroughly to remove all traces of soap and scrub, especially between the toes.
5. Dry your feet well, especially between the toes, to prevent fungal infections.
Moisturising your feet after washing can also help keep the skin soft and hydrated, but avoid use of moisturiser between the toes.
Remember to wash your feet regularly to keep them clean and healthy, and if you need help or advice then give us a call.
