Often it’s not about getting rid of every line/wrinkle for most patients but it’s about subtle improvement- for some people it can be profound results even with subtle treatment 🤩

Tear trough fillers are a non invasive, quick treatment using a micro cannula technique so it’s relatively painless and safer than using a needle. But, it’s important to note that it’s a specialised advanced treatment. Problems with tear trough fillers usually occur when:

👉🏼 The patient is recommended a treatment they’re not suitable for

👉🏼 Incorrect technique is used

👉🏼 Incorrect filler is used

Lips have such variable anatomy. Often treating this area alone will not give the best results. A full assessment of all surrounding structures is important:

👉🏼 Teeth
👉🏼 Chin
👉🏼 Jawline
👉🏼 Upper face volume and features
👉🏼 Lips- volume, vermillion borders, Cupid’s bow, tubercles, lip lines (smokers lines), proportions, assymetry, scars, previous operations, definition etc
👉🏼 Midface structures
👉🏼 Ageing related changes etc

With this lovely patient, we opted to treat lips with 0.4ml filller (virgin lips with beautiful volume, slight asymmetry of upper lip corrected- one side more straight and slanted with the other side more curved) and chin filler to help elongate the chin, treat early signs of jowling, downturned corners of the mouth and anterior projection of the chin (using 2mls of filler in total using cannula and needle technique combined).

Treatment summary:

💉 𝐓𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭: lip filler and chin filler/ jowls
🙁 𝐏𝐚𝐢𝐧: 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐥 topical anaesthetic cream and product has local anaesthetic
📈 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐬: immediate but will improve further
