So according to the Internet today is 'Blue Monday' officially the most depressing day of the year! Apparently it's all to do with the weather, the amount of time left until payday and the fact that most people have already broken their new years resolutions and are just generally feeling... well blue!

Well according to the weather forecast today is going to be a beautiful day - cold for sure but bright and sunny - a perfect crisp winters day - and a great opportunity to get outside and top up on some vitamin D (which incidentally might help you to not feel so 'blue').

Payday is only just over a week away now (if you get paid on the 25th) or two weeks if it's the end of the month - but why not set yourself a challenge to see what you can achieve between now and then? If you need to save money, Google fun things to do at home, plan to eat down the contents of your freezer instead of getting take out and create a budget for Feb to help your money go further.

If you made New Year's Resolutions and you've broken them already then remember life is short and rules were made to be broken! Don't beat yourself up if something hasn't gone to plan! Every day is a new day - a new opportunity to be the best version of you that you can be!

Some days you'll be better than others, some days it will be easier than others and some days will just... well... suck!

Don't let yesterday use up too much of today!

Enjoy today and don't let the Internet tell you you feel blue!

Had a bit of a refresh on this page as it wasn't really reflecting the type of coaching we offer! Today is World Obesity Day.

I have mixed feelings about this. On the one hand I know that it is possible to be obese and healthy and to live a healthy life, but on the other hand I know what it is like to be obese and seriously unhappy with how you look and feel (but most people who are feeling that way don't need a day to remind them about it, they feel that way all of the time!)

I read an article at lunchtime that said the World Health Organisation aims to make people more aware of the fact that obesity is a disease. Not really sure I agree with that one! I think I'd be more comfortable calling out diet culture as a disease.

So on this World Obesity Day I'm saying this: You can be healthy at any size. You can be unhealthy at any size. It's okay to be happy with your size. It's okay to be unhappy with your size. And, it's okay not to be okay!

Having previously qualified as a Nutrition Advisor and Clinical Weight Loss Coach, this year I have changed my focus from weight loss to intuitive eating. After years of dieting and helping other people to lose weight I have finally ditched the diet mentality and couldn't be happier. I am super proud to have achieved my Eating Psychology Coach Diploma and so excited to make this the focus of my coaching services going forwards!
