We had such a lovely time out in the garden today! ☀️🌷

Everyone really enjoyed the sunshine and fresh air, and we spent time playing games together with lots of laughter and smiles all around 🫶✨
We also took some time to sit and chat, giving everyone a chance to relax, socialise, and enjoy each other’s company. Drinks were given to keep everyone cool and hydrated in the warm weather 🥤

It was such a calm and happy session—and we even had a little chat about starting a Gardening Club for the summer, which everyone seemed really excited about! 🌿🌼

🌷🐣 CNH has been full of festive fun this Easter Sunday! In the morning the residents had a wonderful Easter egg painting session, letting their creativity shine with bright and colourful designs. 🎨✨ In the afternoon, our residents enjoyed watching the movie 'The Book of Ruth'. The resident had enjoyed and commented that it shows many different reasons to never give up hope.

To add to the celebrations, everyone was treated to delicious cupcakes and hot cross buns at tea time 🧁, and they also had a blast colouring lots of Easter egg pictures. It was a joyful day filled with laughter, creativity, and sweet treats! 💛🐰

Keeping healthy with chair yoga!💪🧘‍♂️

Our residents really enjoy the weekly chair yoga sessions to help them stay physically active to stay on top of their health. Those residents who can't join the groups are then seen on a 1-2-1 basis for individual chair yoga!

On Thursday 26th March, we had a successful: Grief Cafe☕
CNH had Gently welcomed residents and families of those who had passed into the quiet, softly lit room for reflection, connection, and remembrance. We would like to explain that the Grief Cafe is not a counselling or therapy session, but is a supportive, informal space for people to come together from the community as well to share their experiences, and feel less alone, while also helping to warmly welcome the wider community. 🫶 You are more then welcome to share all of the memories, laughter, shared milestones and a small meaningful moments. In Attendance, a Priest from the church of England had attended our Grief Cafe.✨ In the gentle warmth of the space, he guided us through the Psalms, each one offering comfort and a tender reminder of love we hold for those we miss. As we shared in quiet reflection, the Priest closed the session with a heartfelt prayer. The Grief Cafe will continue to take place at CNH.✨

Today we were honoured by the presence of Our Lady of Lourdes Primary school. children's choir!

This upcoming week, CNH will be running the 2nd session of the Grief Cafe☕🥐. This session will be opened to the Wanstead community as well as the family of past and present residents, residents and staff members who might be struggling with dealing with loss and bereavement. Refreshments will be offered as well as additional resources for future support.

At Cambridge Nursing Home we spent the day decorating, eating themed cupcakes, colouring and cheering with our "very real" pints of Guinness🤣. We got very lucky this year with wonderful staff, residents and visitors!☘

Happy Mother's Day!!💝

At CNH we celebrated Mother's Day with lots of decorations, balloons in every mother's room, lots of laughter and visitors, and special cupcakes and activities to take part in for visitors and residents!💌

We put up a table for mothers' families to write an appreciation letter to their mother, or grandmother to thank them for all that they do and have done. The heroes they have been! Also some simple activities to do regarding mother's day. Take a look through our pictures to see everyone celebrate mothers!!💓
