Hello Parents, from The Summit (a view of my child friendly space) in Highgate. I am now seeing children and families on a Saturday. Please get in touch if your child is worried about something that is affecting them from day to day. I have worked locally for years in local schools such as Highgate Primary School, Highgate Pre-prep, St Anthony's and Tetherdown, but sometimes it's important to see a child on the weekend as they are so busy in the week. It might feel easier to hold emotions down, but it will come out in negative ways. With children it is expressed in their behaviour, such as withdrawing or being disruptive. Reaching out to a trusted therapist can help heal those wounds.

Trying to get your child to write?

The muscles needed for such a task are still developing, playing with play dough, clay or putty helps to work these muscles in the hands, arms and shoulders. By strengthening these muscles also helps with tasks, such as writing, colouring and cutting. So have 10mins of putty play etc before a writing task, it will warm up those muscles and make it easier to write/draw/mark make.
