You may have noticed a lot more talk about the peri menopause and menopause recently, with the great work of campaigns like the Menopause Mandate.

It’s fantastic that it’s being talked about, but it can still feel lonely if you are going through it.

Here are some straight facts:
1. You are not alone
2. You don’t have to suffer and just get through it!
3. There are some simple changes that can be made and information that might help you going forward
4. There are lots of choices (this can be overwhelming and also we are all so different it’s hard to decide what’s right for you).

I am Janet, a qualified Authentic Pilates instructor currently studying Functional Peri menopause and menopause Wellness, as well as going through Peri menopause. I have struggled for years with hormone imbalance and PCOS. I have worked hard to learn more about it all, feel better, and balance my body.

It’s clear that feeling supported through this new life stage is vital. My friend Natasha and I feel passionately that women need community more than ever as they start or are going through the menopause. We want to create a safe space to ask questions and share advice with other women as we enter this new stage of life.

We will be covering some starting points in regard to lifestyle and nutrition and I will answer any questions to the best of my ability. We plan to start an email group to provide any further answers, information, and grow the network to include those who cannot always make it in person.

We look want to make a space where we can all support each other, which hopefully grows in to something that helps us all to navigate through this life change.
