Good morning & Happy Monday 😊

I’m back! After taking the last 12 days off work and stepping away from Dakota Crafts too. I had every intention of popping on over the Easter holidays… but life had other plans 🙈

It’s now back to reality – routines, school runs, and yes… that dreaded alarm clock 😭 I’m actually quite happy to be heading back to work this morning though… ask me again by lunchtime 🤣

We’ve had such a full-on couple of weeks!
3 trips to Chessington (thank you Merlin passes 🙌🏻), a day in Windsor where we saw the Changing of the Guards 💂🏻‍♀️ and enjoyed a pub lunch with a castle view 🏰, a 40th birthday dinner, cinema trip, birthday party, playdates, trampoline fun, swimming lessons… and more McDonald’s than I’d like to admit 🙈🤣

Oh—and of course the Easter Bunny delivered chocolate and Lego 🐰🍫

Honestly… I think I need another holiday just to recover from the last one 😂

I hope you all had a lovely Easter and made the most of that gorgeous sunshine we had for a few days ☀️

Good morning & happy Tuesday ☺️

Today is a character building kind of day… because I’ll be assisting in a nail surgery clinic 👀🦶

Yes. Feet.
All shapes. All sizes. All… situations 😷🫣😂

Pray for me. Or at least send strong coffee and emotional support.

BUT… the only thing getting me through is the absolute GLORY that at 4:30 my out of office goes on 🎉 and I will be OFF for 12 WHOLE DAYS 🙌🏻

No work.
No alarm clock.
No responsibilities… (ok that’s a lie, but let me live in delusion for a minute 😂)

Of course, the alarm will still go off on the days we actually have plans… because apparently I like to schedule fun at inconvenient times 🙃

I genuinely think I’m more excited about not setting an alarm than anything else. Like… waking up naturally?? Who is she?? 😅

Right, I’m off to face the feet and question my life choices for a few hours 😂

Easter holidays have officially begun…
Which means I’m up, dressed, and heading to work…

While the rest of the house?
Still fast asleep 😴 living their absolute best lives 😂

Honestly… rude.

And can we talk about the clock change?!
Because yesterday I had no idea what time it was at any point 🙈
Was it morning? Afternoon? Bedtime? Who knows. Not me.

Also still full of lurgy…
But I think I’m finally coming out the other side 🤞

Anyway… I’ll be over here running on caffeine and vibes 😅

Happy Friday ☺️✨

It’s the LAST day of term before the Easter holidays and I have never seen Dakota get out of bed so fast in my life 🤣💨
Non-uniform day = instant motivation apparently 😂

She’s also been on a serious lucky streak lately… she won TWO golden tickets in the Wonder Bars at school on World Book Day 🤯🍫
So she bagged a non-uniform day and rocket lollies for her whole class 🚀🍦
Honestly… thinking I should take her with me to do the lottery at this point 😜🤣

As for me… I went swimming again yesterday 🏊‍♀️
I’m no longer the only one in the class (thank goodness 😂) and we had such a laugh!

Progress update:
• Still can’t kick my legs properly 🙈
• Still can’t go in a straight line… left, right, wobble like jelly 🫠
• BUT I’ve levelled up to using TWO small floats on my front 💪

We attempted gliding without a float…
Keyword: attempted 🤣
I managed a solid 5 seconds before sinking like a stone 🙃

I’m feeling a bit better now, just stuck with that annoying lingering cough 😷

It’s the day job for me today, then a cosy, do-nothing evening planned 😌✨

Good morning… just about 😷🤣

I’ve got a cold and honestly… it’s snot funny 🤧
My voice has gone all croaky and husky — I genuinely sound like I work on one of those dodgy late-night phone lines 🙈😂

Also… why do kids happily share germs but suddenly become very protective when it comes to sharing their food?! Make it make sense 🙄

It’s been one of those mornings — chaotic school run (but we made it on time 🙌), and don’t even get me started on the weather…
Did Mother Nature wake up on the wrong side of the bed?! It’s freezing and windy 🥶💨

Silver lining though — I’m working from home today 🙌
So it’s lemon & ginger tea on repeat ☕, dressing gown firmly on, and getting bits done in between blowing my nose every 5 minutes 🤣

I’ll be dipping in and out of messages today, so if you’re waiting on a reply or thinking about an order — I promise I’ll get back to you 💛

Good morning… and bah humbug — I mean, happy Monday 😅

We had a busy little weekend over here…
🧺 Lots (and lots) of washing
🦖 A trip to the Natural History Museum
🎮 A visit to the Pokémon pop-up shop
✈️ Park time throwing our aeroplane around
🎨 And we made an Easter bonnet ready for the school parade today
…and we finally got the trampoline up in the garden!

Safe to say, we packed it all in 😅

And now? I’ve got a full-blown cold 🤧 (thanks Dakota 🙄)
I’ve got a follow-up appointment at the doctor’s this morning, then it’s straight off to the day job — definitely running on tea and determination today ☕😂

Good morning 🌞 and happy Friday!

It’s looking like another beautiful day — maybe not quite as warm as the last few, but I’ll take the sunshine while we’ve got it ☀️

I am so glad it’s Friday 🙌🏻
I’m absolutely exhausted and rocking a slight headache… so today is definitely a “get through it and survive” kind of day 😅

Swimming update… I’ve officially progressed from 2 pool noodles to 2 small floats 🎉
We are moving up in the world!
I’m now learning to swim on my front… BUT I just cannot get the leg kicks right.
Honestly, how hard is it to kick from your hips?! 🙈🤣
On dry land — nailed it.
In the pool — absolutely not 😆

AND I still can’t float on my back 🤣
At this point I’m starting to think it’s a personal vendetta between me and water 💁‍♀️

It’s day job time for me, and I’ll be counting down the hours… there’s a strong chance I’ll be having a cheeky nap on my lunch break too 😂
