🌸 Good Morning & Happy Monday 🌸

Here we go again — a brand-new week full of fresh opportunities ✨ Mondays get a bit of a bad reputation 🙈 but I like to see them as a little reset button. A chance to draw a line under last week, set a few goals, and start fresh with a positive outlook.

In the evenings, I’ve been enjoying sitting down and playing around with new ideas for Dakota Crafts 💝 It’s my favourite time to let the creativity flow and see what sparks — sometimes the best ideas come when I least expect them!

It’s also the perfect time to start planning ahead for upcoming birthdays, special occasions, or even just those little “thinking of you” gifts that make someone’s day 🌸

So here’s to fresh starts, positivity, and making this week count 🌞

Happy Friday everyone! 🎉

This weather honestly needs to make its mind up… hot, cold, wet, then hot again 🙈 No wonder I’ve been feeling a bit under the weather the past few days (definitely blaming the weather 😅).

So tell me….what’s everyone up to today?
For me it’s the usual school run and then work, before a nice chilled evening at home. I’ll also be helping Dakota with her homework… and let’s be honest, homework is NOT my favourite thing 😭🤣

🥔 Potato Tuesday Saga: Episode 14 — The Fryer Strikes Back 🥔

The kitchen is silent.
The air fryer hums, its glow casting shadows across crumbs of past battles.
The Tot stands scarred but unbroken.

The Curly Fries have unleashed chaos.
Their spirals cut through the counter like whirlwinds of grease.
But the Tot has learned one truth:
When the fryer awakens… *nobody is safe.*

The basket slams shut.
The heat rises.
And from within, a storm of potatoes is reborn — fries, tots, wedges, and chips, united in fire.

The Fryer strikes back with fury, raining golden crispiness on the battlefield.
Curly Fries scatter.
Onion Rings crumble.
Even Ketchup splatters retreat in terror.

Yet in the chaos, one shadow lingers…
A shape larger, crunchier, deadlier than them all.
The legend whispered only in snack time stories.

The only upside to this morning is the sun is shining although very windy 🌬️ 🌞 but how long will the sunshine last?

What are everyone's plans for today?

It's the day job for me but I'm working from home today. Dakota is back to football club after school so it's our busy day again with school, football and beavers. I still need to sew her badges onto her uniform 🙈 so I'll probably do that after work although my sewing skills are somewhat debatable 😂

Miracles do happen… I actually made it through the school run yesterday without looking like a drowned rat 🙌 Blue skies turned up just in time! Honestly, at this point I’m half-expecting snow ❄️ — British weather really needs to pick a lane 🤷🏻‍♀️

Let’s be honest… Thursday is basically just Friday in a wig 👩‍🦱.
It shows up pretending to be all serious like, “Nope, still a work day!” …but we all know it’s secretly sneaking glances at the weekend. 👀🍹

By Thursday, we’re:

Running on 20% energy 🔋

80% coffee ☕

100% “Is it wine o’clock yet?” vibes 🍷😂

So let’s strut into this Thursday like it’s Friday’s dress rehearsal. Do a little cha-cha through the to-do list, smile like you’re already clocking out, and remember: if Friday is the main event, Thursday is the warm-up party! 🎉
