Happy Jamaican Independence Day! 🇯🇲

Greenhive residents enjoyed a wonderful two-day celebration. Yesterday, we tucked into delicious Caribbean food, swayed to lively music, and danced the afternoon away.

Today, we explored the tastes, textures, and aromas of traditional Jamaican fruits and dishes. The celebrations continued with dancing to a vibrant mix of genres – from reggae and soca to soft rock, and we rounded off the day with a screening of Cool Runnings, the heartwarming story of the Jamaican bobsleigh team.

It was an amazing celebration filled with fun, laughter, and plenty of dancing!

Greenhive residents came together on Wednesday to celebrate Patricia's incredible 98th birthday! 🎉

Patricia was overjoyed by a heartwarming surprise video call from her family in America – a truly emotional yet joyful moment. ❤️

We all shared in the fun, enjoying some Elvis tunes, cake, and a glass of wine. It was a day full of magic and memories. 🎶🍰🥂

⛪ Double Blessings at Greenhive 🌤️🙏
Greenhive residents were truly uplifted this Saturday as we welcomed not one, but two wonderful church services into our home.

With both morning and afternoon visits from two local churches, we experienced different styles of worship - each unique, yet sharing the same heartfelt message of faith and community.

It was a beautiful day filled with music, prayer, and reflection. Thank you to both of our local churches for bringing comfort, joy, and spiritual warmth to our residents.

Greenhive residents celebrated National Chocolate Day this afternoon. We enjoyed a selection of different chocolate bars and different chocolate biscuits and had a cup of tea or coffee, which went nicely with their choice of chocolate. The residents enjoyed a talk and read a leaflet on the different types of chocolates. It was nice listening to reggae and talking about their favourite chocolates and their own memories. Snickers came out as being the best alongside white chocolate buttons. 🍫

Greenhive residents had a fantastic seaside party on Friday!

We had fun and games with some Dulwich College students who came to spend time with the residents.

Everyone enjoyed playing boules, hook-a-duck, chess, dominoes, and solving puzzles.

A special treat was the delicious fish and chips generously donated by Equans - what a wonderful surprise!

Later, we cooled down with ice cream, thanks to Mercy, who arranged it especially for the home.

It was a joyful day from start to finish. Thank you to everyone who was involved. What an amazing start to the weekend!
