Take 2 min today to sit down, close your eyes and BE.
Simply be.

I know this sounds hard. Nearly impossible.

You may be able to sit here for 20 seconds before the mind starts wondering. Maybe 30 seconds.

If you come back tomorrow, you may be able to sit in silence for 40 seconds. Or maybe 10.

Every day is different, and that is ok.

As long as we take the time to connect with ourselves, that's all that matters.

So just this once, sit down, close your eyes and be. 2 minutes.

Hi! I'm Sara, a Yoga instructor for women who have undergone the incredible transformation into super humans; ✨ mothers ✨

My mission is to support busy mums on their journey from exhausted and stressed to being full of energy, grounded and patient, so they can show up as their best version for their children and feel like humans again.

I believe that motherhood is the most challenging, and yet most rewarding journey in a woman’s life ❤️

I also believe that if mums are in a good place, mentally and physically, they respond much better and in a way that supports their children and meets their little ones needs and ultimately raises amazing human beings. A happy child makes a happy mum and vice versa.

Yoga is a lifestyle. My approach to Yoga is mindful, slow and calm. I believe in being gentle and kind, on and off the mat.

There is no need to prove anything to anyone in our classes. Give yourself permission to simply be.

I look forward to connecting with you in our community, and sharing the beauty of yoga with you.

Hands-on adjustments is a widely discussed topic in the yoga world

In my own experience over the past 10 years of practicing yoga, the number of beneficial hands-on adjust outweighs the number of the opposite.

I remember as a yoga beginner, I absolutely LOVED hands-on adjustments.

My teacher gave me the feeling of being seen, noticed, cared for and most importantly being SAFE.

I believe an adjustment is an invitation to explore space in the body.

An adjustment is NEVER done with the intend to put a student into a particular “shape”.

The way I like to approach teaching yoga is to invite students to explore their own body’s spaciousness.

Safety in the yoga practice comes first. Always. If it hurts, don’t do it. Come out immediately.

As with everything in yoga, hands-on adjust is an option. Not a must. It’s an invitation offered by the teacher.

The pictures were taken during last weekend’s adjustment module as part of our 200-hour yoga teacher training. We’ve finished our training one year ago(!) apart from this module. I’ve learned so much (thank you Gaia ). I look forward to offer hands-on adjustments to my students (if they wish to receive it) 💕

Have you ever wondered what yoga teachers do before class starts?

Like the students, the teacher settles into class. They arrive on the mat. They become aware of the room. Their body, mind and breath.

Some teachers like to move the body gently ahead of class start.

Moving the body into all directions for 5-10 minutes is all it takes.

Move the spine. Rotate at the wrists and the ankles. Roll the head gently from side to side.

Goddess Pose is a great pose to warm up the body after doing the above.

Goodness pose benefits large muscle groups like the quads, hamstrings and the glutes (and many more).

Start your practice with a little warm up. Notice the difference when you skip the warm up.

Students and teachers need to warm up alike. It is essential to prevent injuries and to practice safely.
