Explaining NIS to a Patient/Client:

Almost every health problem is fundamentally initiated by a default setting in the central nervous system in which various cells/organs have lost proper signaling from the brain.

The brain is the controlling or orchestrating platform from which all systems are integrated. Any neurolgical signal interference to a particular bodily system or cell will cause the affected part to lose it's original blueprint for which it was designed. Then a cascading series of ordered and sequential changes begin from malfunction to disease to symptoms. Current medicine and even alternative therapies don't understand this process, and hence the treatment protocol is
directed from the outside by either surgical or chemical modulation as performed in orthodox medicine or in the natural, alternative medical camp by modulation (acupunture-diet-supplements spinal manipulation,etc). However both approaches are still modulating or trying to control the disease from the perspective what the practioner "THINKS" needs to be CONTROLLED.

The missing link here is the Brain! No one has asked the computer itself, the brain, were is the original breakdown or to be bold enough to ask : "Can you (the brain) get involved in this downward cascading series of events? So instead of utilizing the platform of what the Practioner THINKS is the solution we want a healthcare system which utilizes what the body (brain) already KNOWS is the solution!

Why is NIS Different?

The brain makes the corrections to the patient, not the practitioner.
Practitioners using NIS rely on the neurological feedback from the patient’s brain, rather than what the practitioner “himself/herself might think is wrong with the patient” - to correct dysfunction.
The practitioner is a facilitator in the correction process and does not actually initiate any corrective procedures him/herself. The practitioner facilitates the resetting of the neurological circuitry so the brain can then correct the dysfunction. When the brain corrects dysfunction, physiological changes are precise, accurate, definitive and infinitely complex – something that “man” is not capable of!

What is NIS about?
NIS bases its treatment methods on the neurophysiology principle that the brain governs optimum function of all body’s systems through its neurological circuitry.
It is constantly receiving information from every facet of the body, and in turn sends back ‘fine tuning’ messages, many times per second. This means every cell, gland, organ, muscle, tendon etc in the body is constantly monitored via these circuits to the brain.
Practitioners using NIS evaluate the body’s function from a neurophsyiological point of view. This makes the NIS method very accurate in determining the CAUSE of complaints.

Does the patient need surgery, injections, or chiropractic?

Even with a large disc herniation- patient's should begin conservative care such as chiropractic or therapy before considering surgery or more advanced interventions.

It's been estimated that over 50% of the population walks around each day with disc issues...and thankfully very few require surgery!

The size of the herniation DOESN'T matter. Always examine the patient, not the picture!
