Students of Serbia and why am I crying over And over again when they make another move, another breakthrough another march and make another statement.
I’m writing this on the plane coming back t from Serbia and trust me I know that it could be written in thousand different ways, but it just came out of me and I’m giving it to you, in all its rawness.
There is so much talk about the need for humanity to wake up, courses are created, meditations, nervous system analyses, trauma healing techniques , for some of us it took years to go through the barriers of our emotional blocks, belief systems, trans-generational trauma.. at least it was my experience .
I am writing this as an ex journalist and a therapist, that I am today, very keen to spread the awareness about importance of the mental health as a prerequisite for wellbeing and good living. Knowing what I learned so far about our mental health I was so, what’s the word, maybe speechless, by what I experienced witnessing what the youth of Serbia keeps creating.
For all of you that are not familiar or interesting in what is going In Serbia right now, I urge you to start following the movement that emerged three months ago after no one was held responsible for the collapse of a newly refurbished cover outside a train station in Novi Sad and killed 15 innocent people, and I urge you to do it not for the benefit of their movement, they don’t need it, but for your personal benefit and the benefit of humanity.
The students of Serbia got together to demand answers about why the accident happened only weeks after the refurbishment happened and why no one is held accountable, why institutions are not doing their job, why system is broken, and since the institutions didn’t react, they found a way to be seen and heard, sending a message that they would not accept the institutional ignorance, took over their universities, took over the streets and started marching around the country spreading the idea of democracy. Bit by bit, they were joined by part of their professors, high school pupils and their professors, IT sector, solicitors, medical professionals, some academics, artists, but first and foremost by their families and people like you and I who had enough of repression and manipulation and helplessness. They took it to the streets.. and there is nothing unusual about it, it’s not a first time for the suppressed to start protesting and demonstrating, the history is written by people who stood up to the oppressors. They all share similar destiny, they are attacked, bitten, run over by cars, imprisoned, the fight for freedom has a common name “ Revolution “. But this is not IT!
What is taking place in Serbia is not a revolution, it’s a form of evolution, it’s a paradigm shift in making. It’s not a march Against something, it represents marching Towards something that too many of us thought was a distant future, but it turned out to be very simple emerging of core values of humanity that these beautiful young souls demonstrate in every move they make, every word they say. They demonstrate unity, kindness , love, compassion, support, they stand together , don’t have leaders and they unite people in the same way wherever they go.
And that’s why I and so many people around me cry. We start recognising our core values and through that we are healing, releasing the fear, the stress, helplessness, hopelessness and crying is moving us back to our original human settings.
Students hold the power to be reckoned with, it just three months, they managed to wake up and unite more people than all the therapists, all the doctors, psychologists, philosophers together, just by being beautiful beings marching towards humanity.
And this is why the world needs to watch and take notes, and that is why we all need to witness the movement and feel the emotions created, that energy that is life giving, infectious and so damn beautiful!
A fascinating source of light and inspiration has emerged from the years of political, economical and emotional hardships, wars, dictatorships, UN economic sanctions, NATO bombing, all the FORCEFUL resources the world has.
They are not part of that world, the world of force of division and destruction.
THEY represent the one coming, they don’t carry hate and anger, don’t apply FORCE . They stand for and demonstrate the essence of true Human POWER. And many of them are not even 21 years old yet.
They have been nominated for the Nobel Prize for Peace ! In the eyes of so many Serbian people they have already won!
