✨ My heart is so full. 🫶

A few weeks back was Teachers’ Day, and I’ve been carrying the warmth of these messages ever since.💛

I never really set out with the purpose of “being a teacher.” Yoga began as my way of finding calm in the middle of life’s chaos. Over time, the practice shaped me.. and somehow, teaching found me.

What I’ve come to realise is this: Purpose isn’t something we chase. It shows up quietly, in the small ripples we create without even noticing.

I particularly love this quote that sums it up so beautifully: 🪷Your purpose is not the thing you do. It is the thing that happens in others when you do what you do.🪷

Being a yoga teacher is never really about us - it’s about what emerges in others when the practice is shared with sincerity.

🦋 Each posture held with awareness, each breath taken with ease, every quiet moment on the mat sends a ripple into their practice, their day, their lives. And in witnessing that, I find my own purpose reflected back. 🙌

Thank you, my , for trusting this practice, for showing up for yourselves, and for taking the journey inward. That is the real teaching. I simply hold the space - You make it meaningful.

Keep practising 💛

✨The first time I heard “Yin Yoga,” years ago, honest I laughed!.. it sounded like just another gimmick.

But curiosity won, and I decided to give it a try. Staying in one posture for 5–10 minutes felt like an eternity. I fidgeted, I struggled, I couldn’t wait for it to end. And yet, by the time class was over, I stepped out feeling dazed, a little wobbly, and strangely calm.. almost like coming out of meditation!

And still, I didn’t go back. Back then, I craved energy, intensity, quick results. Gym workouts, fast flows, late nights, corporate buzz - Yin felt too slow, too passive, even like wasted time.🙈

⏩️ Fast-forward a few years. Vinyasa, Hatha - I loved the challenge, the strength, the sweat. And yet, something about Yin kept whispering. I began reading, exploring… and slowly, the slow started to make sense.

Last week, I finally completed my Yin Yoga & Bone Morphology training with the ‘teacher of teachers’ - the incredible Jo Phee.🙌

When I enrolled, little did I know what a surprise I was in for!

I went to learn the art of slowing down and the science behind it.. but I also discovered why every body is truly ‘unique’. Why some postures feel accessible while others remain elusive. So many aha! moments shifted my practice, challenged my teaching, and even my beliefs - and I couldn’t be more grateful.🙏

🦴 From studying real human bones and cadavers at King’s College Bone Lab, to understanding how bone structure shapes the way each of us experiences asana, to seeing why Yin is essential to balance our Yang practice, this journey has been truly eye-opening.

🌟Grateful for the wisdom, the stillness, and the gentle reminder: ‘Sometimes the practices we resist the most are the ones we end up needing the most.’ 💛

🙏 Thank you:
🪷 for sharing your wisdom and experiences with such enthusiasm and authenticity - you’ve left me so inspired!
🪷 The chance to share, reflect, and grow with a generous, inspiring sangha - a reminder that our practice is shaped not just by the mat, but by the people and teachers we meet along the way.
🪷 My for accommodating all the schedule changes and always having my back.
