Exploring feelings and thoughts in the group today that arise when we identify how complicated it is to be humans that have very tricky minds that have a fight or flight response mixed amongst societal and cultural norms.

I had a beautiful and touching time this morning with my art therapy group. We focused on symbols. A morning of incredibly rich conversation about how different people and communities view or interpret symbols, what individual symbols inspire us and how we may use them in times of struggle. Symbols may come in all shapes, forms or tones, what feels important is how we view them and what resonance or memories they bring.

We are human, which means we have access to a rainbow of feelings. Some of these are horrible, some of them are wonderful. The point is, we have them and they don't like to be hidden. Let someone know how you are feeling today, or check in with someone else to see how they are REALLY feeling.

Hello, i'm Charlotte - co-founder of The Novo Space. My clinical experience lies in trauma, sexual abuse and eating disorders. I have a strong interest also in working with those who are struggling with depression, adult children of parents who struggle with addiction and victims of coercive control.
My practice uses techniques drawn upon Integrative Psychotherapy and Arts Psychotherapy, tailoring the journey to suit specific needs and goals.
