Frazer is running because no young person should have to wait months or even years to get the support they need, because early intervention can provide life-changing support.

Our runners are lacing up for more than just the race, they’re running to support young people access the care, guidance, and safe space they need to navigate life’s challenges.

Grace is no stranger to a marathon, but this is her first running for charity, and we’re so thrilled she’s chosen to run for BCYP. Good luck Grace!

All our inspiring runners are going the distance, not just for the finish line, but for a cause that truly matters. Because every young person deserves to be heard, supported, and understood.

Today is World Autism Day πŸ’™

At Brent Centre for Young People, we’re here to listen, support, and celebrate every young person as they are.

Let’s move beyond awareness, towards understanding, acceptance, and inclusion.

At the Brent Centre, we observe an 88% improvement in the mental health of young people who use our services. However, statistics can't tell you everything. That's why we regularly collect feedback from young people who come to the Brent Centre, to understand their experience and how we can better support them.

Happy St Patrick's Day! ☘

Did you know, our Irish Project offers inclusive and culturally informed theraputic support for young people from all Irish communities, including those who are Irish born (from all parts of the island of Ireland), those of Irish descent, Irish people of colour, and Irish Travellers.

The young Irish people we support often suffer from transgenerational trauma; as the descendants of survivors of institutional abuse and/or the Northern Ireland conflict they are more likely to experience suicidal ideation and are at a greater risk of su***de due to heightened impulsivity, shame, self-harm, and/or having known someone who has died by su***de.

Culturally sensitive adolescent mental health services like ours are not offered by statutory services. We’re proud to have an established relationship within the Irish community in Brent which is continuing to be strengthened by the work of our team.

Young people are on the edge of crisis β€” failed by a system stretched beyond its limits.

Our Young People on the Edge project is changing that. We provide specialist, age-appropriate therapy for 11–25-year-olds β€” building consistent, trusted relationships and offering long-term, young person-led support that goes beyond crisis care.

In North-West London, where inequality and mental health crises intersect, we fill the critical gap between statutory services and "light-touch" interventions. By providing specialised care for complex needs, we prevent long-term health problems and ensure no young person falls off the edge.

Help us reach young people before crisis does.

A young person becomes homeless every 4 minutes
One in five children in the UK experience domestic abuse.
1 in 4 children in England will have a social worker at some point.

Behind every statistic is a young person trying to cope with trauma, instability, and uncertainty β€” often without the consistent support they need.

Our Young People on the Edge campaign provides specialist, age-appropriate therapy for 11–25-year-olds, building trusted, long-term relationships that go beyond crisis care. But we don’t stop there...

Through community engagement, we support teachers, educate parents, and train professionals β€” so warning signs are spotted early and acted on before a young person reaches breaking point.

Because when a young person’s world feels unstable, consistent support β€” at home, at school, and in therapy β€” can change the trajectory of a life.
