We had a fantastic time enjoying an Elvis-themed performance bringing the King’s music and energy to our home. The familiar songs and lively performance had everyone tapping their feet and joining in the fun.

Chinese New Year, also known as Lunar New Year, is a festival celebrated by millions of people around the world. It marks the beginning of a new year on the lunar calendar and is a time for family gatherings, decorations, and wishing others happiness and prosperity. We celebrated Chinese New Year by creating beautiful paper fans. The fans were decorated with bright colours and glitter, traditional patterns, and lucky symbols to welcome good fortune for the new year.

Last week we celebrated Pie Week. Throughout the week, residents enjoyed a variety of traditional pies, from the classic pork pie, sweet pies like apple and cherry and lemon meringue to hearty favourites like chicken and mushroom and steak and ale. The kitchen team did an amazing job preparing fresh pies that filled the home with the comforting smell of home baking.

Valentine’s Day at Aspray House was full of sweet moments. Residents enjoyed making cards, sharing messages, romantic themed entertainment and indulging in treats, making it a truly special celebration. Everyone left with happy hearts and smiles. It really was a heartwarming day filled with love.

Our residents enjoyed a lovely afternoon of live music as entertainer Steve Brown performed especially for our care home. Featuring much‑loved songs from the 1950s to the 1980s, the performance sparked happy memories and plenty of singing along. The uplifting atmosphere was enjoyed by all, and we’re very grateful to Steve for sharing his time and talent with our residents. 💙🎤

What an amazing time of entertainment we’ve had! From Paul Kerr’s brilliant Irish show to fantastic performances by Jay Singer, Richie Milton, Cheryl King, and Jessica De Giudici, our home was full of music, laughter, and celebration.

Our Story..

Aspray House was originally built over 16 years ago and has been established as a care home since 2004. Over the years, Aspray House has been renovated to a high standard with all rooms having en-suite facilities and is home for up to 64 residents based on 4 units built with light and airy rooms, creating a relaxed, peaceful and restful atmosphere.

We value the importance of ensuring that not just the care needs of each resident are met, but also their social, cultural, religious, spiritual and psychological needs as well. We actively encourage our residents to be fully involved, wherever possible, with their own care-planning using a fully holistic approach.

We believe that individual stimulation is fundamental to quality care and we employ dedicated Activities Coordinators to organise a full weekly programme full of activities which include arts and crafts, bingo, light exercises and fruit/dessert trolley parades in the afternoons.
